Its hardcover. You should be able to get it for about $20. If you buy it from Borders or Barnes & Noble you can print out a coupon and save yourself some money. :)

That's really cool. I've been put off buying it because I already have the '...New Punk Explosion' GD book by Ben Myers, and I don't want to sheel out another £15 for essentially the same book.

I'll wait till I get a voucher from a relative. :)

It's a nice little read and all but...I still haven't gotten to understand why people wanna know about celebrities childhoods and things that happened in their past, why not just love their music, is it because you wanna learn where they got their inspirations from? I say find your own, but whatever, I'm sure it's a good book, I find the part about people smoking a joint at the age of 14 hideous, but meh everyone loves Green Day so it must be cool.

Well i like that cuase you can compare your own life and your own experiences to them like smoking pot at age 14 but im not 14 yet so its also like what was a bad and a good chioce and if it's some one that you would take the time to read about then turn off the tv and go read it it could interest you in different ways from learning about real underground punk or what ever they had to go through and follow there goal can make you want to raise the bar on your own dont be afraid to dream and differ from eny one.

I read the book. It's good. Not my favorite book of all time, but it's worth reading if you want to know more about green day. I learned alot from it when I thought I knew almost everything about the green day story.

I read this book when I was in a hospital. It was extremely good, esp. the background information about Gilman St. and Op. Ivy.

I got it back in February and I've read it twice.

Loved all the East Bay music info.

I got it for my birthday in march.

It's a great book not only on Green Day's history but on the whole underground punk scene.

I got it for Christmas, and started reading it during exams on the last day of school. It was kind of weird, I looked down and realized I was wearing a GD shirt and wristbands, reading a GD book, while listening to GD. :/

Anyway, I read about three chapters so far. It's pretty interesting, there's a lot of stuff I didn't know (such as where Billie got Blue from, I always thought it was his very first guitar and it was given to him by his dad. But apparently it was his guitar teacher's and his parents bought it for him).
