No, there's lots of Green Day biographies. Not autobiographies. There's a difference.

And if one is coming out then i'd buy it, yes.

Are you talking about this one?

Nobody Likes You: Inside the Turbulent Life, Times, and Music of Green Day by Marc Spitz

Comes out next Tues. Nov 7th here in the states.

Book Description

The full story of the rise and spectacular comeback of the band hailed as the saviors of punk rock Its hard to believe that in early 2004 Green Day was considered over -- the band was still together, but they were dismissed as a strictly 90s phenomenon, incapable of re-creating the success of their groundbreaking album Dookie. Then American Idiot debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts, stayed on the charts for nearly 18 months, and went on to sell more than four million records and to win Record of the Year (for "Boulevard of Broken Dreams") at this years Grammys. Combining unique access to Green Day with a seasoned journalists nose for a great story, Marc Spitz gives the complete account of the band, from their earliest days to their most recent explosion of popularity and critical acclaim. Foremost, Nobody Likes You is a story of friendship and the transporting power of playing very loud music. It is the story of how high school dropout Billie Joe Armstrong came to write song lyrics that inflamed the political conscience of fans in a way that two Yale graduates couldnt. Green Days story -- from rise, to fall, to rise again -- has never before been fully told.

Marc Spitz is a senior writer for Spin magazine and is highly regarded for his in-depth interviews with some of our biggest cultural icons. The author of We Got the Neutron Bomb: The Untold Story of L.A. Punk, Spitz has also contributed features and reviews to the New York Post, Maxim, and the Washington Post, among other publications, and has appeared on CNN, VH1, and MTV. He lives in New York City.

Yeah I'd buy it if one came out :) - how do you think they'd write it, like would they write a chapter each (cos Tre's would be fucking hilarious  )

It sounds cool...What's it called?

i think this is a "what if" thread ... actually I 'm not sure

like they would bother to write a fucking book NOW

True, and I think I'd rather them work on the new album instead of write a book

I would buy it only if it was written by green day other than that NO. I seriously doubt that they would take the time out to write a book about their lives.

If this happens to be true I'll get it, but we need to know the name of the book first, and justcellophaneice, most likely they won't take the time do so. I already got the biography american idiots and the new punk explosion.

I think our friend doesnt understand the difference between autobiographies and biographies. the band have never shown any interest so far in writing themselves. they`ll be pensioners by the time thats what they are interested in doing.

it would be cool to read, but people normally write an autobiography when their career has gone balls up.

anyway, they've already written their life story out in their songs.

I'd rather they wrote a new album than a new book.

I'll second that. But if they can do both, then all the better.

it would be cool, it would need to be official though, but i doubt they'd use ghostwriters or anything like that. So it would have loads of personal opinions etc.. all the sensitive stuff. :fakenopic: irelevant but it looked cool.
