Hmmm, Green day are not 'emo'. I actually really like MCR's new album, but I dont think It is better than AI in at all.

Oh and Green Day have the better advantage of being able to sing live, Gerard cant sing live for shit, it always comes out slightly strangled! :/

Meh the Black Parade is alright.

The only thing that annoyed me a bit though, was the obvious Minority-rip off video.

I don't like MCR very much at all. They really REALLY dissapointed me when i saw them live. The new album is better than the last one, but it's no where near as good as American Idiot.

I just feel like some of the bands that came out big over the past couple years seem like they're trying too hard to play the role of "super band." With the big sounds and stuff that Green Day did in A.I., i just don't think it works well with MCR.

I don't know why people would compare the two, they are nothing a like, only that they share some teenies.

I dont like MCR, so having their piece of shit music compared to Green Day's music, makes me sick

And hearing that Pink Floyd influenced that shit also makes me sick.

true.

its a total 360degree turn compaired to last album's touring and drunk-ness. this time he's got it nailed. and i think Ray's weird vocals kinda make his suck a little bit more, too.

but no one's voice is ever going to be perfect live, not even GD's. so you can't really judge an artist based on live stuff.

thats sam bayer's fault.

^Freddie Mercury was PERFECT live.

And yes  Ray fucks it up. But it mostly sucks because the sound of the mic is too loud..it should be lower than Gerard's sound.

What are you talking about?

When an artist performs live, it shows their real talent. Anyone can go into a studio, record a shitty song, have it mutilated and distorted, and have it come out sounding good. A live performance is the only way to really judge how good/bad a band is. I mean, really... what's going to be a better reflection of a band, the stuff slammed out in a studio, and tweaked, or the stuff that they perform 'raw'?

*Yes, im in a bitch today, deal with it*

Yes, thats true but I doubt it's all Sam Bayers ideas for the videos.

Maybe its the ladder.

The album is called The Black Parade.

So you can't have two penguins break dancing and call it done.

The fact that minority happend to have a parade thing going on

probably isn't a try hard attempt at emulating green day.

And sam could have done it quite a bit different.

But at the same time, the songs are totally different, the color scheme, the whole theme behind it, and the other aspects of the story.
