No Man Can Eat Fifty Eggs! Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 I've never liked U2 much ...but since it's all for a good cause, then yay.
Sara Armstrong Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 I'm pissed off at this. U2 are the most overrated and the most shittest band on the entire earth.I bet they are just using greenday as a tool for them to get more undesserved grammies.yeah, i'm sure they are.
gdp Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 ^ i dont think so.. that they made a single together doesnt mean they are going on tour with them, they'll probably perform together somewhere
gabymmit Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 I really don't think so, since it's just like a fund raising thing... but who knows... we might be surprised
nak321 Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Not necessarily, but i hope not. I'm not a big fan of U2
paper_lanterns_005 Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 bono scares me. alot.there's a girl in my school and she's obsessed with talking about green day AND u2. but in like a creepy way. like i said shes crazy. if she gets this news, she'll nvr EVER shut up. and i will kill myself.
Dai. Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 I don't think so...It's just one song, I don't think there will be a tour to play 1 song, that seems kinda stupid.
Vincent_the_Angel Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 that's not right man. u2 and green day working together? not right. my creepy religion teacher would be happy.
owlnzZzZz Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 uhm.. i'm looking forward to this.. but u2?? hmm..
xXx.:Jinx:.xXx Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 U2 is very boring to me... but Green Day will switch it up. Unless Bono takes absolute control, I don't think he will... but I don't want any kind of U2 song... I want more Green Day!
Ida Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 I've listned to "the saints are coming" a long time now and seriously I think it's gonna be great. Don't worry...! After all it was U2 who asked Green Day to join right? If that's true I couldn't possibly imagine Bono taking the whole control..
FJ Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 If I remember right, Green Day don't actually like U2 a whole lot. At a concert (possibly Milton Keynes), BJ said 'I want you to sing so loud every fucker at the U2 concert tonight hears you!', or something to that effect. It may have been at Brighton or Cardiff though. But I'm pretty sure he said that.
Ida Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 ^ In BIAB he screams "I want you to sing so loud that every fuckin' readneck in America hears it tonight, alright!" if that's what you were thinking about? ...
FJ Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 ^ In BIAB he screams "I want you to sing so loud that every fuckin' readneck in America hears it tonight, alright!" if that's what you were thinking about? ...I know he said that, I was there. I swear he said something about U2 aswell, anyone want to back me up on that?
tutqu Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 awesome I m not a big fan of U2 but they are pretty good
cabot_girl Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Oh my god. I think this sucks!! Bille and the rest of the band probably licks U2's ass. I guess I can forget Green Day to become less commercial in the future. Honestly, I think Green Day is ruining themselves. No matter how grown up they want to be, doing this this has nothing to do with being mature. They have ruined the best punk band on the planet. Green Day will never be Green Day anymore. SHIT!
jack666 Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Oh.Actually I like U2, they have great songs but I really cant see them together.Well, let's see what will come out. It's stupid to judge before time.
Ida Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 I know he said that, I was there. I swear he said something about U2 aswell, anyone want to back me up on that?So that was not what you were thinkin of then...! Well... I have no idea.. Sorry...
**nobodylikesyou** Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 You are correct---Somewhere he yells I want you to scream so fu**ing loud everyone over at the U2 concert can hear you tonight.......but I don't think that means he doesn't like U2. Oh my god. SHIT!Stop over reacting. When their commercialism starts affecting the quality of their music then you can complain. They haven't compromised that yet and I don't think they ever will. And besides, if Green Day thought it was worth doing you should respect their judgement.
One Lite 1 Mind Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Wow, that is fucking awesome. I love U2. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
sick Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 I like U2(well mostly their music during the 80's) and I like Green Day, but i wish that it won't be a re-make, i wish it will be a great cover, their own version of the song. And i think it's awesome, if they like to do it, good luck!
Whatsername868 Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Thats cool, Im not a big fan of U2 but I cant wait to hear a new GD song.
