Which ones were the personal ones, specifically?

I'm not really saying any specifically, I'm just saying that in your decision making you guys need to think about these as if you were in front of Green Day asking them the questions.

a masturbation question would'nt be too personal in my opinion. hell they songs about the topic.

I am going to email the questions to them. But what I'm saying is that if we wouldn't ask a certain question to their face because we think they might be uncomfortable about it, then we shouldn't do it through this either.

And a masturbation question is different, because yeah it's personal but not really to them. It's more humurous and we know they talk about stuff like that. I mean, some people think asking your height is too personal. You can take into account who you're asking, hence the "imagine if you were in front of them" scenario.

The reason I dont think that question should be asked is because it's sort of trivial. There are much better questions out there than asking them about drugs.

I can't remember who asked, but someone asked for my questions, so here they are (I'm just cutting and pasting from past posts in the 2 threads):

Tell us about the process you use to write a song. Do you write lyrics without a melody in mind and throw them out to the group to come up with the melody, or do you write lyrics to fit existing music? And what parts of the process are done individually and what parts as a group?

Will you try to really describe what it feels like (both physically and emotionally) to perform in front of an audience of many thousands who literally adore you and the music you make?

Have you googled yourself online, and what kinds of surprises did you get when you got the results?

Can you all still hear well after not wearing ear protection (those ear monitors that most performers wear now) for so many years around loud music? And are you worried about having hearing problems because of this?

Are you trying to prepare yourselves mentally and emotionally for the response to your next album? No matter how wonderful it is, you're going to be ripped to shreds because (1) it's different from "American Idiot", or because (2) it's similar to "American Idiot." In other words, by making a masterpiece of rock (AI), you've put yourselves in an almost no-win situation with the following album.
