ChemicEmotions
It is a good question. Don't get me wrong, it is. And you know hearing that answer would be intriguing. But we have 5 questions to ask and (last time I checked) something over 19,000 members who all have different questions they want answered. I have lost people close to me too. But another reasonI am reluctant to include that into the list is because it seems to be a sensitive topic. That is just me. One person out of 19,000something. I was just voicing my opinion.-sighs- I wasn't meaning it like that, I'm just voicing my opinion also. And the whole reason why I like the question is because it is a sensitive topic-- I want to get deeper with them as a fan.I just-- I feel like you. I'd be disappointed if it weren't on the list. That's all.

This isn't Barbra Walters on 20/20. I think that getting deeper as a fan is great, but I dont want to piss Green Day off by making them uncomfortable. netty
heres one you might like to consider. "what are your plans for 1039/smoothed and kerplunk now they are no longer available on Lookout records?"
**nobodylikesyou**
I like the Insomniac one, but do you guys think we could combine 'American Idiot' in there. I kind of want to ask them the same question about that, but about now. Because they are in the same situation - writing another album after their previous was a huge success.I agree. I mentioned this in the other thread. I don't think they live in the past so why would you want to know that about after dookie, when it is happening right now in their lives? You're right, this isn't Barbara Walters. This is deeper than that. This isn't some old hag asking just to get paid. This is a true question that fans [the people I've discussed with] want to be answered.
spark in the night
she's right thoughwe're lucky enough for them to even let us do thiswe gotta make it worth their timeand something keeps itching me about asking questions about past albums and stuff from like the 39/smooth days. I mean it was so long ago and I want to learn more about today and the future and whats going on in their minds now, not 10 years agowe need to pick questions that are sophisticated, yet still have that young fan essence to them. This is deeper than that.Good point. They are probably not going to get pissed at all. I just don't think that question should be included. I don't have the final say though, so do what you will. I simply feel that there are other questions that I would choose over that one to be answered by Green Day.And on a different note, we have really narrowed them down to good questions! Plus, it's one of those questions I was talking about that we don't really need to ask, because it's something we will know eventually. It's just not all that important. VictimOfAuthority
maybe spark in the night can give me her opinion on this question no one else is .. . .whats the most meaningful lyric youve ever heard/written (to all the guys)

I dont see asking them this as being a problem. asking why they were pulled from Lookout might not be something they want to discuss.
stablesoulsgonebad
the current list is something like this(rather, these are the ones being discussed, etc.): Current List:---"What advice would you give to some one who is coping with a loss of their loved one?"---"Are you trying to prepare yourselves mentally and emotionally for the next chapter of Green Day? Out there will probably be a lot of debate going on saying t's too different from American Idiot, or too similar. In other words, AI was obviously an amazing album - do you think you've put yourself in a hard position for what's to come next?"---"What type of nervous/bad habits do you guys have? Any little antics you have that drive the other guys crazy?"---"There has been a lot of rumours going around about Green Day-- whether it's from one of you dying, or you guys breaking up-- which ones do you think are the craziest? How did you react when you first read/heard about them?"***To be discussed***Wording this one with the American Idiot question:---'When you were recording Dookie, you were still a band unknown to the mainstream. After Dookie became a giant success, you guys recorded Insomniac. Was it different to record Insomniac compared to Dookie, because you were known and successfull as a band now? Why?'OR [reworded differently]:---"Was the mindset while making Insomniac different becuase you had notoriety compared to making dookie where you had the freedom to not worry about success?"---"What are your favorite memories in your rock 'n' roll career?"---"If you could tour with any band, past or present, who would it be?" I they have gone thru so much that normal people have gone thru I just don't think this should be at the top of the list. Sorry.

Do you guys ever feel any pressure in writing (both now and when you did Insomniac) like you have to do something to out-do your previous albums?”---"What type of nervous/bad habits do you guys have? Any little antics you have that drive the other guys crazy?"---"There has been a lot of rumours going around about Green Day-- whether it's from one of you dying, or you guys breaking up-- which ones do you think are the craziest? A lot of people are going to be disappointed because their question wasn't picked. Picking 5 to represent everyone who is an active member of this forum is nearly impossible.
