Green Day Q&A Questions 2

Recommended Posts

---"Was the mindset while making Insomniac different becuase you had notoriety compared to making dookie where you had the freedom to not worry about success?"

---"Are you trying to prepare yourselves mentally and emotionally for the next chapter of Green Day? Out there will probably be a lot of debate going on saying it's too different from American Idiot, or too similar. In other words, AI was obviously an amazing album - do you think you've put yourself in a hard position for what's to come next?"

---"What type of nervous/bad habits do you guys have? Any little antics you have that drive the other guys crazy?"

---"There has been a lot of rumours going around about Green Day-- whether it's from one of you dying, or you guys breaking up-- which ones do you think are the craziest? How did you react when you first read/heard about them?"

i like those a lot and i like this one as i said earlier:

whats the most meaningful lyric youve ever heard/written (to all the guys)

edit: and the drug/alcohol question is good i like that one and honeslty do you really think they will be thats too personal i mean they get naked at like shows!!

The Current List:

---"What advice would you give to some one who is coping with a lost of their loved one?"

---"As said by John Lennon, are you just a songwriter who happens to play guitar or a guitar player that just happens to write songs?"

---'When you were recording Dookie, you were still a band unknown to the mainstream. After Dookie became a giant success, you guys recorded Insomniac. Was it different to record Insomniac compared to Dookie, because you were known and successfull as a band now? Why?'

OR [reworded differently]:

---"Was the mindset while making Insomniac different becuase you had notoriety compared to making dookie where you had the freedom to not worry about success?"

---"Are you trying to prepare yourselves mentally and emotionally for the next chapter of Green Day? Those are all AMAZING questions, you guys have really thought a lot about it this past hour. I really love all of them, and the two "humorous" questions would be good because it can't ALL be serious, they're Green Day. Those six are, like, perfect.

The one problem I have is with the guitar question...I feel like I already know the answer...and I also feel like it'd be hardly anything for them to talk about, but it's a Billie question, so I don't really care.

Overall those are great questions, I really like the one about the next chapter of Green Day, definitely my fave (along with the death/advice one).

What does everybody think about this?

To me, it's like the Google question: Good, but also too general.

and the drug/alcohol question is good i like that one and honeslty do you really think they will be thats too personal i mean they get naked at like shows!!

I know, I know. We'll have a final vote about that one. I sorta like it, but kinda don't, because there's the other questions that I love..

MDA: What guitar question? The John Lennon one?

I agree, too general.

Yes, the John Lennon one. I just feel like I already know the answer...but you don't have to do what I say. It's just my opinion, and I respect everyone on here's opinion. (Even though I may be really bitchy at times)

No, those are the same questions. They both generally mean the same thing. That's up to Andres which one he wants to use.

Well, we have six questions. So.. hm.

I really wish I could have been here for more of this thread... anyways; the two questions that I really like are,

"If you could tour with any band, past or present, who would it be?"

"What are your favorite memories in your rock 'n' roll career?"

I realize they are not necessarily “fan to role model" questions, but I do think they're good. The kinds of questions that I don’t really like are the ones directed at things like drugs and alcohol and the upcoming album. Personally, I don't really care about what their best and worst experiences with drugs and alcohol were, but maybe that's just me. And I don't think we need to ask a bunch of questions about their next album because I think we’ll be hearing plenty about it in the future, seeing as Interviews always accompany an album before and after its release. Green Day never skimped during interviews when talking about the process of recording and releasing American Idiot, so I don’t think they will this time either. I think we should try and focus on asking them questions that we wouldn’t be able to hear answered otherwise.

Also, since I haven't been here for most of the decision making process, I understand that my opinions aren't really required. I just wanted to point out the two questions that I really liked. :)

If it were up to me (which it's not, and I don't have a problem with that), I'd eliminate the John Lennon/guitar one. I'm just "in love" with the other five. I REALLY want Andres' input on this, though...

Well, I meant just ME. Like as if I were the only one on this thing, but I'm not and I want other's opinions. Forgive me for being bitchy or anything, because I have a tendency to take over things...I'm a "natural-born leader". You know, like the kid who always wants to be team captain. I also have a short fuse, and I get angry quick, so I'm just apologizing ahead of time for anything I could say to hurt anyone...okay? :P

o.o You aren't being bitchy to me =P And yeah, I'm sorta of a leader, if I try [i'm a slacker too] sometimes, and I have a short fuse.

I could've been soo fucking bitchy on this forum but I decided to keep it civilised XP

Yeah, I agree with her.

Any rumors about yourselves that you guys hear and would like to put to rest?

What's the worst thing that has ever happened to each of you on stage?

What's the most embarresing thing any of you have gone through?

I still love those questons along with the coming clean one....

Then i like

What do you guys think of teenies? Like those younger "fans" who go "OmG itz lyke BillY Jow!111! WILL u marriy me??!!111 MiYk wyll u lyke marriy me 2??!11 u 2 treys!" Then they forgoet who you are 2 months later.

How do they make you feel?

I like that one too, I think it would be interesting to see like which line means the most to them, there's probably more than one - but I'd love to see which one(s).

And I also think we should keep the John Lennon question..

Even if you're just now joining in on the conversation, these questions are representing all of us so your opinions and replies still count just as much as ours.

We have the rumours one in there. I don't think the others are too great, they're much too general, and the Coming Clean one is sort of self-explanatory, in my opinion.

agree with what *is confussed*

I agree with what you said about adding those two and eliminating two others on the "official" list. [Note: I put it in quotes because it's not really "official".]

I doubt they are going to answer that honestly. Or trash talk them.

i don't that we should waste a question on that cause we all know the answer even though it is said different some times and confusses us

I'm pretty sure this was said before, but I don't think a teenie question would be good. They don't really care WHAT kind of fans they have, just that they have fans, as far as I'm concerned. Quote BJ, "We have the best fans in the world", so it don't really matter.

And reading those questions it seems as though you only want a funny, mindless interview. I don't blame you, I'm sure lots of us do, but we're trying to be serious here. Of course, we're slipping in a couple "humorous" questions so it won't be so hard our Our Beloved Green Day...God, I sound like Queen of the World again...

yeah i like the john lennon question too but not as much as the others . . . .

EDIT: the teenie question i think they would just laugh and say its all part of the buisness, but thats my opinion
