Green Day GDA Q&A

Recommended Posts

I agree with everyone who thinks we should stick to asking serious questions. This is like a once in a lifetime opportunity, so lets make it good! :)

I'm very interested in finding out about the following areas:

- 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours & Kerplunk!

- Their kids' reaction to their fame

- Song writing

*How come, if you didn't like it enough to put it on Kerplunk, you bothered to put Haushinka on Nimrod?

^ I've actually always wondered about that

i read that Billie said he didn't put in on Kerplunk because it didn't seem to fit with the rest of the album. and then when Nimrod came along, Nimrod being such an assortment of songs, he put it on there.

Describe your fellow band members in one word

Do you ever watch perfomances of yourselves and how do you feel about them?

Do you feel like you've changed as a person after you became a mainstream rockband?

Those 3 are really good too.

what's the most embarresing thing any of you have gone through?

That would be funny to hear an answer to i think

I'd like to find out more about them as a group, as individuals and maybe some stuff from the past no one really asked at the time... most AI stuff has been covered or in most cases over-talked about.

2. How do they feel about the new teenie attack since AI came out. Or how do they feel about being in Popstar! and Bop

I like that one, and the where the hell did Blue come from...thats good.

This is hard....

I was thinking maybe something like uhm....

Do you guys want your kids to follow in your footsteps? (ie go into the "music industry" and make decent music)

I'll try think of some more

I am so excited about this :D.

Can you ask them abou ttheir kids, their reaction to having their Dads big celebrities with girls (and some guys) falling in love with them all around the world.

That's really awsome. GDA is the best Green Day site ever. I think all of you guys is doing a great job.

I think some of the questions that was posted was good. :)

1) Do you guys have any "guilty pleasure" songs you like to listen to?

2) How do you guys pick and choose which songs you play at concerts from your older albums?

3) Which one of your songs do you feel most proud of writing?

4) Have you guys ever visited GDA or GDC (the forum)?

5)What do you like best about going on tour?

You three have done a great job transitioning from an underground noname punk band to full fledged rockstars. Publicly you have handled each change along the way perfectly.

How have you guys been able to stay grounded with all of your success?

What is the hardest part about being famous?

Do you still hate famous people?

i cant really think of any at the moment.

i got 1 answered in the idiot club and i had an hour n half long convo with billie joe in a guitar shop and asked him a shit load of questions.

i dont see the point in asking them what they think of fan tattoo's, they already answered it and said it was ''the ultimate compliment and if ur thinking of getting a tattoo then y not get a green day one''

I like the question asking them if they've ever written a song that was so personal they couldn't release it.

4) Have you ever heard a song that spoke to you in a way that made you wish you had written it and if so what song(s)?

These are really good

I have a question that I really want to ask! You know how in Basket Case Billie changes from he to she and then back ("I went to a whore, he said my life's a bore, so quit my wining cause it's bringing her down) Well I really want to ask why he did that. Please consider this question!!!

I'm blocked. These are immature but I can't think of anything better.

"What other languages can you speak other than english?"

"Who did you first get laid with?" :ermm:

"When was your first date and what was it like?"

"If you've been to any Green Day fansites, which do you think is the best?"

"Have you ever went through days when your self-esteem was really low? How did you deal with it?"

"Among all three of you, who do you find the most attractive?"

EDIT Forget the second question.

Putting your music into perspective, how would you say it has shaped your outlook on other people?

Haha I sound so smart asking that.

I really like these questions, but I think insted of 4) it could be

Do you guys ever visit fansites (except maybe idiot club)?

And: Have you ever made a false account on a Green Day forum and participated in discussions on the forum?

to answer whoever it was who suggested asking what the band thought of fans having green dday tattoos, this is from the IC Q & A.

Question 2:

how do you feel when you see people with green day tattoos?

sent by: kmulrain

It is an ultimate compliment. Tattoos are cool! If you are going to have a tattoo, why not a green day one?

why ignore the Idiot Club if you are going to ask about forums? to our knowledge they have never visited the forums there.

this is going to be my one and only question for Billie Joe..

since we all know who "she" is about..and you've been w/ Adie for forever..and i was wondering what the true meaning of "Whatsername" is. I mean..the song lyrics go "she went away"..and this "she" girl went to Equidor (sp)..and the song is "and i took a different path"...you went on Tour. So what i was wondering..is hhmm 2 two things...

1.The real meaning of Whatsername

2. Do you still have feelings for the "she" chick...even though she's your ex..but...

I'm the only person in the world who wants to know what 'the town bishop's an extortionist' means, aren't I, lol?!

I think that means that even someone who is supposed to be holy and correct can be someone who is doing something wrong.

Just my thoughts on that phrase.

I like these questions that I've heard:

What was the hardest song you wrote?(emotionally)

What is your favorite song that you wrote?

What unknown fan sticks out most in your mind?

Where did the idea for Platypus come from?

I like this one!
