Uhh, well not rare stuff, but you can't buy the shit in the stores anymore..

like the Slappy and 1,000 Hours EP, 3 or 4 vinyls of The Lookouts! a rare in-store promotion thing for Warning, that yellow board thing... haha.

Uhhh, i guess a nimrod shirt i have is kinda rare, it's brown with a huge nimrod in the middle of it.

hope this link works for it...u'd probably have to scroll down but this is my prized posession now (besides a pillow w/ Billie's face on it from my overly-obsessed days and my bass).

i have a box of granola that billie joe ate out of....

if that could be considered anything special.

i also have a tour rider (a list of things the band wants for their show) that my dad was able to give me when he worked for them.

but that's not all that special.

uhm.

i have a lookouts tape.

and....

yeah. nothing real special. :bored:

okay i have a question: i met this person via yahoo and they are selling 2 green day items. i was wondering what type of offer i should make for the first item?

here's the question, and i'm armatage shanks (the green day avatar w/ blonde billie & co.)

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_y...info-QHAKgwqBaa

i really need some help here...and i thought this was the only place to ask.

so what do u think is a reasonable price for item #1?

I'd pay 20 max for the Vinyl

and maybe 15 for the poster but that's me talking in Australian dollars.. I'll convert that for you.

okay forget about that converting it made not much difference 1 or 2 dollars..

They should put it on eBay for a low starting bid, if it as rare as she says it is then the price will rocket ('specially in the last few hours). I have seen people put things on there with a starting bid of 99p and they ended up making a small fortune.

i think i should ask for a picture of the vinyl?

then i'll offer her at most $22 if i like it. i just dont want to piss her off if she goes through all this trouble to have me say "oops i can't get it".

*argh* green day is making me broke!!! hahahaha!

Laura your ava is really starting to freak me out XD

Yeah, definitely get them to put it on eBay if you can. Although I know with the Slappy EP that there are rarer versions - like if it's in a paper sleeve, it's pretty old, where as the cardboard ones I think they were making up until a few years ago, meaning the paper sleeve would be worth a bit more. Not sure with 1000 Hours, mind.

It's actually freaking me out a little.

I dropped the case with all my vinyl in today I nearly had a sodding heart attack. I had to get them all out and inspect them XD

A full glass of water spilled all over mine the other day, miraculously not a drop got on them because of the plastic covers. I should keep them in a box or something XD

I saw the Foot In Mouth CD with the Japanese writing on it at best buy 1 time. I almost got it too but I realized I could just download it. So I did from Youtube. I got Tune In Tokyo also from Youtube. Also the Dookie Demos but I don't think that's rare

ah thought i might add to this, one of the rarest green day items - white version of slappy, only 1 made very first print, worth over $2000, collector in france owns it.

waiting japanese pink 7" with billie joes thumbprint is worth a bit, japanese promos go for quite a bit, there are aound 10 diffrent pressing of 1000 hours and slappy vinyls, and they come in many colours, some harder to find then others. and there's about 9 official pressing of dookie on vinyl, the marbled version is worth the most. if you really want to find out if somethings rare, ask someone in the forum at greendaydiscography.com, these are serious green day collectors from around the world, and they really know their stuff. i would say i have aound 400 green day cds and vinyl, and ive still got so much more to get, last week i paid £85 for the mexican maria promo cd, so it can get pretty steep.

oh and on the ernies on the dookies. this applied to america only if i remember, around the world almost all dookies have ernie, all new prints have ernie, all original prints have ernie, but for a short time they made them without ernie. most have either clear or brown backing trays. the official pink vinyl (not the dodgy pink bootlegs on ebay) also have ernie missing. green cased were german/french version, pretty common.

be wary aswell to anyone who wants to buy a dookie vinyl off ebay, yellow pink and black bootlegs have started popping up and they're poor quality prints. to tell the diffrence, all original prints come with an insert (the bit with the lyrics on), bootlegs dont.

I own the chain and the first record listed in the rare items section (cost me a fair bit a few years ago on ebay.) and the 1,000 Hours EP.

The rarest is definitely the one with the black and white photo cover, black vinyl. Pride of my collection since it's the rarest record bar the Look For Love one.

I have this DVD called The Idiot Collection. It's a bunch of TV stuff from after AI came out. It has the sessions @ AOL, Fuse's Making Of AI, Fuse's 100% Green Day, performances from Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, and MTV New Years.

I also have the Foot In Mouth EP, but I doubt that it's super rare. Hell, I bought it at Best Buy.
