joey_terrifying Posted March 14, 2006 Share Posted March 14, 2006 my friend's mom digs the american idiot CD, and she still has her old vinyls of the beach boys and stuff from when she was in her teens and twenties. it's funny, cause my friend kinda was like, "wait, my mom likes this stuff? can't be all that good." when i mentioned it was a good album when he told me about it, i was like "dude, just cause she likes it doesn't make it crap, right? she probably got you into the beatles, johnny cash, and louis armstrong, right? so she does have good taste." wowsers_trousers Posted March 14, 2006 Share Posted March 14, 2006 well, my sister, friend and i were the only people in the school who like Green Day. but then the other day i was putting on a CD and the teacher said "i hope you arent puttin rancid on again" and i said "no, Green Day" and this new guy said "cool! good choice! love it!" but i wasnt really shocked because i didnt know him, i just told him he had good taste.but apart from that no one here like green day, and they all call me green day thinking that it may offend me or something. False Punk Posted March 14, 2006 Share Posted March 14, 2006 I've posted in this thread about it being a surprise I like Green Day, but today I found out that the vice-principal at my school is into punk. A kid sitting next to me was going on about he's into punk and is gunna buy the Lee Harding CD to the VP and I said "Lee Harding isn't punk." The kid glared at me and the vice-principl said, "What do you listen too?" And I said "Real punk. Green Day, Ramones, The Clash." Anywways, we started talking about music and he looked at my ipod and told me that he was a big fan of Kerplunk and Dookie when they came out and he also said that AI is an amazing album. This morning on the bus though, I got on and this kid on the front seat had his headphones on full boar, then i recognised the song and it was that girlfriend song. then he had jos come on and was like "i'm all cool" and i'm like u were just listening to a teeny girl pop song mate, you're just a poser who has issues. so yeah, i dont like people like that.
