I think they should be a band, for as long as they want to be a band. Billie said once that the band is their lives... thats who they are, and without it, they would be nothing.... No matter what happens, Green Day will always be Green Day. They eventually deserve retirement, but right now, it seems like their having too much fun to retire... but I fully support them in doing whatever they think is best :wink:

They should go untill the fans are happy, and most importantly if they still want to do it. They might turn into one of those bands like The Rolling Stones and keep making records untill their 80! Its up to them.

They may have said they'll only leave the band in a body bag but I think they will stop when they get too old. I actually think that if they retire before they get too old thus they will be remembered forever as a great band. I don't want them to be a band till they're 70 or 80 but at least a little longer.

It depends. If they're going to keep making great albums until they're dead, then sure. But if it's gonna be crap I'd almost prefer them to quit before they suck so I can remember them as great, instead of that-band-that-was-really-good-but-ended-up-shitty.
