BIBARAGURORIA
Everybody's talking about how much Green Day merch they have, but really...how does that define you as a fan? Buying a bunch of shirts doesn't automatically make you "OMG TEH BIGEZT GREN DEY FANN EVAR."It's more of a mentality, I think. A willingness to question your favorite band, to recognize their flaws and the mistakes they've made and still love them and their music. It's being able to criticize them, the choices they've made, and being able to disagree with them. The number of Green Day related items you have, how many posters are on your wall...that doesn't make you a "bigger fan" than someone who doesn't own any merch at all.Sure, buying Green Day shit is great, but at the end of the day it's your mentality that counts. Lauren
Well, the whole sound check pass is because I feel proud because of it. I dunno. It reminds me of the amazing times I have had, and I like to always carry something Green Day related on me incase some stranger sees it and they like Green Day, too. You never know who you're gonna meet. How do you know I'm not an eight year old boy? I could be one for all you know. emmaILGD!
Apparently, once you start talking to me in person you can tell I'm a Green Day fan. It's probably because I'll quote lyrics or maybe say something they've said in an interview. I don't actually do it deliberately either, sometimes it just comes out. I'm a very strange person. ¡Viva La Sariah!
I LOVE Green Day.I mean I was about 10 years old when American Idiot came out. I loved them and started to listen to "Old School" Green Day.39/Smooth, Dookie, Insomniac, Kerplunk!, etc.But I don't always have money to buy Green Day merch to show love. But when I do, I immediately go out and spend it.I have a neckalace, a bracelet, a Green Day poster, and a GD shirt. Sadly, that's all I have so far, but I'll take advantage on the day of my B-Day and Christmas -They inspired me to play music. So far I've only got 2 albums and the Bullet In A Bible DVD/CD, but I plan to buy all albums.I don't really have anyone who is as crazy about Green Day as I am so I bother my fanily about. I've only got 90 Green Day songs on my iPod, and I'm going to be downloaded more, and almost 2 hours of Green Day videos on it.-I immediately start to go ballistic when someone DISSES Green Day, and I start to say things and I get carried away (I don't think I get carried away at all, all I do is state the truth in how DEAD wrong they are.)Green Day is what keeps me sane and I say that with all my heart. <3I actually have something to look forward to after school, as I don't have many friends at the time. Green Day keeps me company.I can't stand that! It's like they're trying to be cool because you're wearing a Green Day t-shirt and they subtly want to make you react to their comments. No offence The only reason I react, is because I don't have anyone to talk to about Green Day. All people listen to is rap, pop, hip hop and stuff like that. >_< I figure maybe I can find someone who shares the same passion.

No, if you don't like Green Day, you don't suck. Unless you're just an asshole in general. Then you suck, but not because you don't like Green Day. Because you're an asshole. Get what I'm saying? Get what I'm saying?Couldn't agree more. One of my best friend's hates Green Day. Like really really can't stand them (BJ's voice is 'too American' apparently. No, I don't know either ), but it doesn't stop us being friends. We have a lot in common other than that and we both like music, so when it comes to Green Day, we just wind either other up about it in a good natured sort of way.
