Egypt, during the riots last year. It came on the radio when my family and I were in a taxi. We all just stared at each other like "...is this really playing...here?"

Which song was it? If it was something like Minority, Know Your Enemy or Holiday, then it would certainly suit the revolutionary climate in Egypt at the time.

Within a span of 5 days I heard "Sweet 16" and "The Pedestrian" at two different Buffalo Wild Wings locations. The fact that I heard a Green Day song at BDubs isn't that strange, its the fact that I heard such deep album cuts within such a short time

A few months ago i was down a local pub and kept thinking am i going mad or can i hear Welcome to paradise? Turns out it was coming from a fuzzy radio in the pubs kitchen. This is weird cos Green Day never get played on commercial radio in England anymore and the odd time they do it is always a song from AI or onwards.

I've only heard one song either than Good Riddance outside of my house. The only one I've ever heard was "Holiday" and that was at a figure-skating dome for a class field trip. The thing that sucked was that I had just decided to take a break from skating when that came on...

I think the weirdest place I've heard a Green Day song would be at the most famous Athens street where a tourist who had been mugged before was singing or better screaming at the top of his not-nice voice, Basket Case, so he could raise money to spend the night at a motel. So, I got close to him, asked him why he was butchering one of my favorite songs and that's how I learned his story.. Strange thing is that I had some money then, and I told him: "alright, I'll give you 20 euros to stop singing." and he said: "thank you! but, can I sing another song in case anybody else gives me money?" and I was like: "yeah, sure! I know some people down the street who are huge AC/DC fans. just start singing Highway To Hell and you'll be at a motel in less than hour!" (I know it sounds kind of bad of me but it wasn't!) I don't know what happened after I told the AC/DC fans to go listen to him, but I hope for the best..

There's a really stupid comedy show at my country called "Pânico na TV" and they went to the beach to show some girls asses..

So while they were showing that, Nuclear Family started playing :ermm:

The next day I was watching a sport's programme and Welcome To Paradise started playing while they were showing cyclists.

And I also heard WMUWSE at a drugstore when I was in NY and Holiday at a restaurant.

Oh, and last year I went to my friend's dance presentation and one of the dance groups performed American Idiot (the version by the American Idiot Broadway cast). I applauded them so much :D

Once we watched a video about HIV/AIDS in my senior year and at one point Good Riddance played on the video. I was excited/confused o.O
