Jaded Leslie
Weirdest place? Hmmmmm......... Most likely it was walking contradiction on my school bus on the radio. my mom is like BFF with my bus driver, so I'm the favorite ^_^ and when everyone started complaining, I sang along louder, and she turned it up!!! Greatest ride home ever.

PleasedToMeetMe
My English teacher once had us read the lyrics along to Good Riddance because she said it was 'a song about wishing someone the best of luck in life' and I begged to differ. I told her the true reason behind the song and she did not believe me. She also did not believe that Billie clearly says 'fuck' at the beginning of the song so i made her start it over and turn it up and the whole fucking class heard it and busted a gut laughing.

Cori
Earlier today I was in P.F. Chang's, for those who don't know it's sort of an up-scale Chinese restaurant, when I heard Whatsername come on the radio. I think I about had a spazz attack. This smiley accurately depicts my reaction:
A melodramatic fool.
Burger King Kind of a random song, but they played Nice Guys Finish Last

Holly
Not too weird, but ace all the same, I'm watching Rude Tube at the minute and they had American Idiot on the background because some little kid tried to ride a rocket skateboard and sings 'I don't wanna be an American Idiot' Got me all excited
littlegirl-of-suburbia
Underwater... My local swimming pool has a synchronised swimming team and they are using time of your life for some big contest (my scuba diving club uses the pool at the same time as them)
desertrose
I was driving in Berkeley by the Ashby Ave house and heard Longview playing in the car next to me while waiting at Telegraph. I had to laugh. I wonder if the driver knew about the video being filmed there.
Sixtrix
There was this show on the Dutch tv about 14-15 years ago where this random band played some music that was in the charts back then. It was boring so I went to the kitchen to wash the dishes and then all of a sudden I heard Espionage. I rushed back to the living room because I thought Green Day was playing. But it was still the same band. I found it weird that they played a Green Day b-side. They even made me think that Espionage was a cover that Green Day did until I found out it was a Green Day original
Mike of Suburbia
the Bullet in a Bible version of Wake Me Up when September ends at a bowling alley...they had a bunch of screens set up to so they showed the video too which was epic
imtheamericanidiot
My cousin's 6th grade graduation. They played good riddance. I almost started singing along but I stiled my self. It was hard
SidCR92
In my granny's car when she picked me up from school one day. She gets freaked out by the smallest things, so hearing Green Day on her radio was shocking. When I asked her why she was listening to that station she was just like, "Oh hell, I don't know, just flippin' through the stations, tryin' to find somethin'." whatsup?
Wherever, whenever they play a song of GD, that's weird .... because here in Hungary, unfortunately they hardly take note about the existence of GD .... And it's very frustrating, while lot of "garbage" flows out from the media!
Dirntbag
I dunno if it counts as 'weird' if it was planned, but my brother covered 'Time of your Life' at his graduation with his band, I think it was a really fitting song, the only annoying thing is that this song won't be chosen for my graduation song, since they're different every year
gloria123
when the dentist was about to start my oral surgery Good Riddance came on the radio (it made me feel better )
GreenDayisAmazing
Not really a weird place, but I heard "Wake Me Up When September Ends" in Walgreens the ohter day I got so excited and stayed in the store until it ended. I've also heard GD in one of those store like Charlotte Russ(or what ever it’s called) in the mall in 2005 my sister and I ran into they store. The lady looked at us really funny because we just stood there until it was over. I've also heard "Basket Case" coming from an unknown source in the mall made me so happy. Ohh yeah I've also hear GD well waiting to get on ride at the fair my sister and I started to sing! I also request GD everytime I go to the skating rink. They usually play "21 Guns" we do the whole 1, 21 guns and throw the arms into the air thing.

lhutton93
Two places: 1) In a dentist. I was about 12, it was my turn to get into the horrible chair, I was terrified, and then suddenly Green Day came on the radio and I didn't care about anything else but listening to the song. 2) At work the other day. I work weekends in a supermarket. We don't even play music in store because of apparently needing a license to but suddenly at about 9PM Green Day - Good Riddance started playing across the shop. No idea how / why or who put it on but it made a boring and crap day at work worth it.
