Weirdest place you've heard a green day song being played?

I heard a particularly inappropriate Green Day song playing in the terminal ward of a hospital. I forget just what the song was, but it was satirising death. Smooth =D

Durring a presentation my friend was giving out in history. 21 Guns was in the background. I didn't even listen to him, I was to busy singing along to the song in my head.

I went to a really fancy place for dinner over the weekend. I heard "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" on violin in the background. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, but it was definitely that song. I started listening more closely and noticed Cold Play and The Fray songs on violin. Who the heck knew there was such a music collection.

Even when I sleep I listen to Green Day :D

the news was just playing "the saint's are coming" before a commercial break. Sure 'the saints' were also being shown, but I didn't pay attention to that part

School assembly for self-esteem. The guy asked what kind of music we listened to and every time he mentioned a rap group everyone cheered. But then he's like "What about Green Day?" ...

Everyone started booing. (Except me, of course.) I was just sitting there like "What the hell?"

It was aggravating.

At my school, when they do announcements over the intercom, it'll start and end with snippets from a song, and a few days ago, it played Jesus of Suburbia. The weird thing isn't so much that they played Green Day, but that, out of all possible songs, they played Jesus of Suburbia. You would never expect that. Like I was sitting there reading my book, and I immediately looked up when I heard, "I'm the son of rage and love, the Jesus of Suburbia."

My best friend's mom was driving my somewhere the other day. When we got in the car she pulled Kerplunk out and said, "You're still a big fan of Green Tree aren't you, hun?" It was amazingly sweet of her to remember, but since age 14 my friend and I have blasted Green Day every chance possible, not to mention going to 3 concerts -- and she still calls them Green Tree.

Anyway, it was weird listening to Dominated Love Slave with Mrs. Cleaver reincarnate sitting next to me. I almost suggested we just go ahead and listen to Toby Kieth instead. Almost.

I was in Chili's one time and they played Waiting. It made me so happy because I had never heard that song anywhere before :woot: and I went there a week later and they played a live version of When I Come Around.

:verymad: That is AWFUL!! I would've cheered my head off! What the hell is your school's problem!!! Rap is digusting! Good for you for being the minority and liking Green Day

The weirdest place I have heard a Green Day song would have to be...

A childrens clothing store.

They had a radio at the front desk, and Jesus of Suberbia was playing?:ermm:

I went to my american literature/creative writing professor's office to talk about a paper and he was listening to 80.

I literally gasped. I said, "I love this song."

and he said, "I love your hoodie." I had on my green day hoodie and he told me

don't leave it lying around in his class or he'll steal it. :D

and plus...he's hot as hell.

I love my american literature/creative writing professor.

The hubby and I went to a restaurant opening earlier this week. They had been blasting techno for almost 20 mins when "Pulling Teeth" came on out of nowhere. No pause as though they were switching playlists. It was seamless. Techno just transitioned into Green Day and, once the song was over, moved right back to techno. It was really random, but it kinda made my night. :)

this^

my dad hates green day coz he think's their music's too simple but one day we were in his friend's (also total anti-green day) car and his mate just says:

"I found this really great band! Listen to this!"

and he sticks it in the CD player...

... and Stop Drop and Roll came on.

It took every ounce of self restraint i had to not laugh... even when my Dad suggested they sounded late bealtes...
