Well, it's not so much as hearing them, but the other week I saw them on a banner at a Big Brother eviction.

In the middle they wrote Tre, on the left, BJ!! and on the right, MD!! That's all I saw of the banner, but it was definitely weird seeing their names like that.

I SAW THIS TO! :D

I think that's the first and only time I've ever regretted not watching Big Brother

At the mall close to where I live, they have speakers in the public bathrooms that play some radio station I believe.

caught me by surprise >_< XD

Hmm...

I heard...

-Espionage during a kiddie show carchase at a flower show.

-Know Your Enemy coming from an empty shop. I just stopped outside to listen and then my mum yelled at me.

-A really weird version of a Green Day song in JJB. I was like...'This is by Green Day...but thats not Billie singing!'

-Some band played Basket Case at this random show and I was singing along. And aferwards loads of goths were clapping really loud.

-Another band totally ruined Holiday at a school rock night. But they only had 15 minutes to learn it. I thouht it was weird coz they hated Green Day

-American Idiot in a History music quiz. XD I was like 'WOOO'

Also, me and my mum freaked out over the Green Day Big Brother sign. XD

BOBD (and the end of American Idiot, didn't hear the whole song :() on camp last week.

Most of the time the music there was the same CD played over and over and over again (with Black Eyed Peas and the like on it), and then there suddenly was BOBD (someone figured out how to connect an iPod to the sound system and that was one of the songs on it. Funny how fast I recognized it while I wasn't even listening to the music).

Not very weird, but highly unexpected.

I've heard When I Come Around and Good Riddance on a classic rock station in my area. They mainly play music from the '60s, '70s, and '80s

I heard Boulevard of Broken Dreams at my Dentist's Office a few years back. Stuck in my head because it was while I was receiving Novocaine (which caused Give Me Novocaine to have a whole new meaning)

I recently heard Nice Guys Finish Last while playing laser tag, thought that was interesting.

And my favorite: I left a mix CD of Green Day songs at my Grandpa's house many years ago (Pre-AI), and was amazed to find him listening to it in his car the next time I visited! Apparently he only likes certain songs on it though, his favorite being Waiting. Keep in mind, he's 78. I've since gotten him to listen to certain songs by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and a few other bands.
