Penguin Puffball Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 My brother was watching Nickelodeon the other day, and when I walked by, I heard the chords to Warning. I was confused, so I sat down and watched it with him (haha) and it was some kid with a big head who made these special guitars, he started a band in his garage with some kid on ecstasy and some chubby kid, they were playing Warning. And a good surprise, I watched the movie Surf's Up, and they used TWO Green Day songs: Holiday in the intro and Welcome to Paradise (dookie) in the middle. The movie was decent too.You mean Jimmy Neutron? Haha, sad that I remember these things. Yeah, I think someone else posted on here that they played St. Jimmy too. Quote
shoegazeloser Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 You mean Jimmy Neutron?Honestly, I don't give a shit. All I remember was this kid with ice cream on his head playing Warning, with a kid that had A.D.D. and a nerd. Quote
ChelseaDagger Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I heard "Know Your Enemy" last night in this totally dressy clothing store. It was an odd combination but I enjoyed it Also some guests at my wedding probably thought it was odd to hear Green Day after the ceremony and at the beginning of the reception!!!!!! Quote
L0205H Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Hm... I don't think I've heard Green Day in a weird place, but I walked into a hair salon and I heard WMUWSE. It was comforting. I thought the hairstylist was going to ruin my hair for senior portraits. xD Quote
Harriet Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I heard Green Day's version of My Generation in a documentary about how 16 year olds should get the vote a couple of days ago. It was very surprising that they didn't bother using the original. Quote
shoegazeloser Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 They often use Brain Stew in Punk'D, when the celeb finds out. Quote
Drew Holiday Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I once heard Green Day on my high school morning announcements, lol Quote

incendiary girl Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 (edited) A few months ago my friend and I went to a Vietnamese nail salon. They only played traditional Vietnamese music for about 20 minutes while I waited for her nails to get done. Right before we left, one of the girls switched CDs and they blasted JoS. Then they switched back to the traditional music. It was a little weird, but kind of great.Edit: Didn't mean to reply to the post above. Separate thought.
