Weirdest place you've heard a green day song being played?

I'm not sure if it really was Green Day, but I was watching some program on the tv (Wipeout), and after the commercials the presentors were playing a flute and a guitar, and what the guitar played sounded scarily much like Welcome To Paradise. Not sure though, it was short and my family was talking, but still....

(and the font they use for something in that program too is similiar to the one on the AI cover, but that's got nothing to do with the thread)

I don't know if this counts, but since I'm pretty sure that the melody for the song created by Jimmy's rock band on "Jimmy Neutron" was Warning.

So I say that would be a weird place. Especially considering that its nickelodeon and that song advocates questioning the government, media, etc.

Mm, I don't think it's the same program (because it's Dutch and Belgian contestants and presenters), but it could be recorded at the same place...it's in a pool, and in the final it's dark, with annoying lights and it starts off with a big slide, right? The "Start" and "Finish" is in the AI font.

I was at the mall today and I heard Warning being played in a Tommy Hilfiger store.

Strange, since that's a really preppy store. Yet the song talks about questioning the government and everything, they don't go together at all. Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever even heard Warning on the radio.

I was going to consider hearing Good Riddance played by the camp staff of a fall camping trip for my 5th grade class the weirdest moment, but a green day song being played on the disney channel. Now THAT'S just SCARY.

The only way that could be topped is if a church choir sang "east jesus nowhere"

At work, we have to transfer to different departments. One time I transferred to customer service, and Time of Your Life was playing. It wasn't the regular song, it was like elevator music! The sad part is that no one who calls us probably knows that song, I work for AARP Health insurance! (Older people age 50+)
