LaurenLetteromb Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 I was watching the highlights for football and Good Riddence played...i was like :whistling: and humming along and got told to shut up  Quote
minorityxdisturbed Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 I was watching a local channel and they were advertising that next week they'll play some action films and the soundtrack of the advestisement was 86 Quote
Robin105 Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I'm not sure if it really was Green Day, but I was watching some program on the tv (Wipeout), and after the commercials the presentors were playing a flute and a guitar, and what the guitar played sounded scarily much like Welcome To Paradise. Not sure though, it was short and my family was talking, but still....(and the font they use for something in that program too is similiar to the one on the AI cover, but that's got nothing to do with the thread)I guess I'm not the only one who noticed that. Also one of the guys who won was a punk rock guy and when he won he sang Wipeout is my favorite show in the tune of Waiting. My mom today said she heard time of your life as hold music waiting for me to answer the phone at work. MusicalDeviant Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I don't know if this counts, but since I'm pretty sure that the melody for the song created by Jimmy's rock band on "Jimmy Neutron" was Warning. So I say that would be a weird place. Especially considering that its nickelodeon and that song advocates questioning the government, media, etc. Quote
Heart of Purple Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 (edited) I heard Warning on Jimmy Neutron too Edited April 1, 2009 by Heart of Purple Quote

The "Start" and "Finish" is in the AI font. But that's cool Quote
Ross Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 In a pet shop and it was Longview rarely played on radios these days.. Quote
thisisAB Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I was at my locker at school and I heard a teacher nearby say "Horseshoes and Handgranades". That's pretty much all he said, but that was cool/strange. He must really have to be a Green Day fan to say that. Quote
haushinkaitlyn Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 i heard a muzac version of good riddance in a bank once. Quote
madie Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 When I was waiting for Rise Against to come on stage, the music being played was Pulling Teeth and Homecoming. There was a girl near me singing along, it was awesome Quote
minorityxdisturbed Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Good Ridance on an adeverteise of something related with church :/  Quote
Velocity Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I was at the mall today and I heard Warning being played in a Tommy Hilfiger store. Strange, since that's a really preppy store. Yet the song talks about questioning the government and everything, they don't go together at all. Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever even heard Warning on the radio.I was actually thinking about this thread as soon as the song was played Quote
TheBullwinkle Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 "Good Riddance" in the stock room of a grocery store, right before a job interview. Quote

I was going to consider hearing Good Riddance played by the camp staff of a fall camping trip for my 5th grade class the weirdest moment, but a green day song being played on the disney channel. Now THAT'S just SCARY. The only way that could be topped is if a church choir sang "east jesus nowhere" Edited April 14, 2009 by perfectpitchrob Quote
fashionvictim86 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 At work, we have to transfer to different departments. One time I transferred to customer service, and Time of Your Life was playing. It wasn't the regular song, it was like elevator music! The sad part is that no one who calls us probably knows that song, I work for AARP Health insurance! (Older people age 50+) Quote
mrwhirly2000 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 we were watching "intervention" in my health class, and "last ride in" was playing for a good part of the show in the background Quote
