amy_dirnt
I used to be a ballerina, yes laugh it is funny. Well one of the girls had brought a Green Day CD into class and we were all listning to it and warming up to that and the teacher walked in. She was early we had planned on putting the classical back in before she came in. Busted. we had to do the whole class to the CD, and ballet is very hard to do fast. I still laugh about that Green Day and ballerinas, some things just do not go together. Hey, that's not cool. I do ballet, and I'm actually choreographing to I Fought The Law and Stuck With Me at the moment. And yes, I probably did spell choreograph wrong.Well, other than that, at my camp, the synchronised swimming clinic peeps did their piece to Good Riddance. I heard Holiday in Smith's Sport 'N' Shoe at the mall, and then, when we walked out, they were playing BOBD in the hallway where the store was. BlueCheezWhiz
Well, they taught the guitar class how to play Boulevard of Broken Dreams and Good Riddance. They played it at assemblies and the like.Good Riddance was to a 9/11 slideshow, and made several people cry. There were people singing too.So, basically, at school. Very Ape
I just remembered, when I was in driver's ed, BOBD came on the radio in the car. I was so distracted by it that I turned onto the wrong side of the road and almost hit another car .
Another Urchin
Hearing Good Riddance anywhere isn't that suprising, especially any kind of clip show or graduation. Bvd. of Broken Dreams doesn't really suprise me either, since it is such a commonly played song. I think I've heard it in a couple of school assemblies. What suprises me is the idea of playing a song like When I Come Around at a funeral (I think I remember seeing a couple of people say that in this thread). While a cool song, it doesn't exaclty fit for a funeral. It could be worse, though, they could play Pearl Jam's "Alive"

Keira
At the beginning of the school year, our cheerleaders were doing a routine and in it was a remix kinda thing of Boulevard of Broken Dreamns. I almost shit myself I swear to God, and I was pissed off the rest of the day.

annie
In gym class the teacher always puts on random mix CDs over the speakers, and the other day Brainstew came on, and I was like "YES! I love this song!" Then when it ended, She came on, and I said "Okay, whoever made this CD is my new best friend."
Silverhawk5891
I heard, I think American Idiot, in an ECC English Language School in Osaka, Japan..which is odd becauase the school is mostly 3-7 year old Japanese kids (who obviously dont speak English (or they wouldn't be taking classes at the school lol))... Oh_Botha
:lol:I don't think I even realized it until I read it on.. GDA I think. It's the one where Jimmy and his friends make a band.Yeah. I think it is Warning, but it also sounds a lot like that song they use on those commercials where the people put the square up to there head and it makes a picture. It's like "Picture something, take them of you something, take them of your brother, a long time ago." Anyone following me?

Tuesdays Child
Umm, at an ice hockey game, it was Minority. Also the first time I heard it at the end of Andy Milonakis it kinda startled me... Just whenever I hear it on T.V. like in Cribs or Next, or thse other mindless t.v. shows I watch when I get home from school...
