Guest n1i0m3r9od Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 It'd be Simple Plan with one extra member.
spark in the night Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 thats a scary thought. I dont want to think that
GreenDay-Idiot Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 It'd be Simple Plan with one extra member. I'm loving you lol!
SHE_ Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 I DONT think that i would like green day without billie joe mike and tre because they make green day what it is! they started it by singing their own songs in there own van and screwin around. Other guys coouldnt write the songs or come close to the equvlant of what billie joe, mike and tre make green day. They have been together for 16 years and there cemestry together helps them to make the music they make with such feeling and passion. Like billie joe said on bullet in a bible they r green day , its how they r and wut they do no one else could ever measure up to them and the music they make. they truely r amazing! with out them i would have no reason to live!
starbucksfreak Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 well duh!...if its still the same music i think the majority of (true) green day fans wouldnt care ...plus we wuldnt know who the hell they were
Burningice Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 too much hypothetical shit here. messes with my head.
InsomniacOfNoRetrn Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 it wouldnt be green day... dumbass
AustralianFan Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Probably, but it wouldn't be Green Day and it wouldn't be as good as it is, as we know it. We know Green Day, as the 3 guys Billie, Tre and Mike - no one else, so there really isn't an answer to the question. The music wouldn't be the same, might've been better but might've been worse - the voices, the way they play, everything. Also, Green Day has been known for all their publicity stunts, jerking off on stage, humping the guitar, crossdressing, telling everyone to fuck off (including a boat), dancing around in nothing but his undies on stage. I don't think not many other people would do it, and I don't think many other bands would care about their fans as much as Green Day. Thankyou for listening.
justcause Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 This is one of the most surreal topics I've seen to date! But to answer your question - 'Rembrandt painted more self-portraits than anyone until Picasso, not because he was a narcissist..... but because the man and his paintings were the same impulse'. Billie and Green Day's music are the same impulse - you can't separate them.
relic Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 green day without billie, tre and mike wouldnt be green day. simple.
shortie_8806 Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 you wouldnt know the difference so theres no logical way to answer that question.
Guest RhetoricalGrasshopper Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Did you know that if the presidential election were held today 95% of the population would vote for cheese, the party of values?
Soysauce Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 you wouldnt know the difference so theres no logical way to answer that question. Exactly. That's what I was thinking. But then it goes back to, "well would you like them at all?" and then... "If they had the same music," but that isn't possible either because they didn't write it...because they aren't...them. It's too late at night for this kind of confusing stuff.
extraordinary-gal Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 thats silly because obviously it wouldent be green day
tomrox Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 for me, it would be exactly the same as it is now. if anyone else had made the music, thats what i would love them for.
Ketryne Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 I think, i'd still really like them because i first bought American idiot without even knowing the names of the Green Day members and only ever seeing them in videos or hearing them on the radio. For me, it was purely the music that got me into them, not them themselves.
I Write Tragedies Not Sins Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 We wouldn't know any better so i think everyone would still like them
ArmatageShanks39 Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 they could replace mike or tre, but billie is the band. it wouldnt be the same, but almost all bands go through several member changes...usually drummers.
Hybrid Meteora Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 if billie, mike ,and tre werent in green day green day would not exist nor their songs
justcause Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 they could replace mike or tre, but billie is the band. it wouldnt be the same, but almost all bands go through several member changes...usually drummers.Q: What's the difference between a drummer and a drum-machine?A: With a drum machine, you only have to punch the information in once.
