it didn't change it a lot..but it made me realise one thing.

Before I started listening to Green Day, I used to call myself "Gothic" and I don't think I really thought about it,what that actually means..Why does people call themselves 'Gothic',why do they wear black and have funny make-up?

Well, I got into Green Day and started questioning the whole thing, cause there always came the question: Are Green Day still punk?

And I was like: what is punk? What is gothic? isn't it just a way to hide your own identity?

the more I thought about it,the more stupid it became to me..

I'm just happy I realised it, without slipping too deep into something that doesn't exist

yeh they did. i didn't like punk rock bands before greenday. i was into gothic music, and now i don't wanna listen to anything else but punk. green day made a revolution in me as a person too, they changed my character a lot, and taught me to be a minority and do my thing no matter what

green day introduced me to a whole new side of music, before i was into.... Not much. I used to listen to hip-hop as everyone tried to turned me into a trendy. It didn't work.

Green day got me into bands such as The Offspring, Sum 41, Blink 182, MCR, and pretty much every other band I listen to. Green day even influenced me enough to take up guitar, start a band and play in battle of the bands in 2 months!!! They are pratically my life

Before Green Day, I wasn't really into music ( I liked Linkin Park and I still do but that's it )

Don't worry, I hated boybands ect. to begin with but they got me into more alternative rock music

and I thank them for that

They changed it for the better :)

Well, I was already starting to discover music that differs from Eminem. Green Day, however, really opened the doors of Punk Rock to me, without them, I would have never discovred most fo the bands I love today.

I agree, i was alreading getting into other music but then i discovered Green Day and they opened my eyes even more

i have to say yes!

after i saw the light in the form of green day i started to listen to more stuff like theirs.

before that i was (and still am) very much into these pretty piano ballads, u know the

likes of Enya and Sarah McLachlan. i never was much of a punk/rock person before GD.

like someone said earlier, i wouldn't've found most of my favorite bands either, if it hadn't

been for green day.

I guess they did change what I listen to, because when I was younger I wans't into much of anything, just what was on the radio. I would listen to what my dad liked, and that was The Clash, The Doors, and all of that classic rock. So, I was into it at a young age, but I didn't know Green Day until When I Come Around. Then as I got older, I knew who they were and I started downloading stuff when I was like 11 or 12 by them, and then I got into more punk bands.

So yeah, they did change what I listen to, but I still listen to Adult Alternative like Five For Fighting and 80's songs like Take My Breath Away. I even listen to older metal.

But, Green Dahy did introduce me to other bands and punk music.

Green Day changed my WHOLE music outlook. i only started listening to them like 6 months before american idiot. i basicly only listened to green day for those six months... then a little after ai i got into other stuff and a ton more bands.

i seriously didn't even enjoy listening to music, and when i did it was like gangsta rap back in 6/7th grade when i listened to it just to fit in. so i can thank green day for my love of decent music. :)

completely... i used to just listen to whatever was on the radio, which was usually crap, because thats what everyone else did. Now I'm into more punk/rock and underground bands... i believe some of the music i used to listen to...

I discovered a lot of the bands i like now through green day.

green day completely changed my musical taste, or rather, they created my musical taste, I had liked the beatles a bit before but that was pretty much it. But when I started listening to green day it all changed, now I like bands like green day, nofx, the offspring, nirvana, etc. etc. etc. (although I still like the beatles)
