Oh Pamela and her five sisters
First time I heard Green Day I fell completely in love. Then reading about them I found out about the whole scene that had spawned them and I fell in love with punk rock. Now it's pretty much all I listen to.now i hate all the poppy shit i would listen to when i was younger, i didn't have much of a music taste, i liked what was on the radio and what my mum likes (Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel...) and going to the opera

the48maychick
Green Day has fully changed my music tastes. After listening to them I have begun to look into more punk and broadend my horizons.
catholichornet
before i heard green day i listened to the backstreet boys and n*sync. sadly, me too. However, this definitely gave me a more mature outlook on music. I probably would have never picked up a bass guitar if i hadnt listened to GD. *SubLimiNation*
Green Day got me into more Punk Rock and just Rock in general. I started listening to bands like Sum 41, Anti-Flag, Avenged Sevenfold, Funeral For A Friend, Atreyu, Blue October, the list could go on and on. Thank you Green Day

shesarebel713
Green Day pretty much changed me all togetheri used to be very preppy cuz i was tryin to be like everyone else and i just wanted to be accepted. then i listened to Green Day and took Billie's lyrics to heart. (especially 'Minority')now, i just dont care what other people think of me and im just tryin to be myself. even tho old habits die hard. sometimes i do worry about what my family thinks and i do know i shouldntedit: and as for music, now i cant stand anything i used to listen to. except a little ity-bit of country. like i said, old habits die hard
slappyhours
i hated music, seriously. i hated to hear the radio or anything on any of the music channels. it was so weird. i did though like a little bit of rap just so i could have something to talk about at lunch... if you know what i mean.... it was the only thing everyone listened to. then i saw a green day music video in the morning and went to their website, bought a cd and got into music, from them i branched out to like so many of genres and artists. augie
Kind of. I mean they made me more tolerable and fond of different types of rock. But I still mainly listen to soft rock and 70s stuff.

joey_terrifying
somewhat, but all that happened when i started to like green day, is that i started to like green day. i used to despise green day way back, but just like most bands i dislike, there were a few good songs here and there, until there were enough that i just decided to give more of their stuff a listen, and thought it was pretty good.
