Princess by dawn
Before Green Day I was into a bit of everything, but then I heard them and I immediately loved them, and still do, and then I really got into cool bands. Thanks to Green Day
Jewels!
Yes. I used to listen to what everyone else was listening to. (hip hop/rap) I don't like to talk about those times. But I heard some Green Day songs and I was immediately hooked. Now I can't live without their music. They opened my mind and changed me. I now have nothing to do with any other music but rock! xbasketcasex
Yeah, they changed it quite a lot. I used to like sort of pop music when I was little, the Spice Girls, that kind of thing. But I never really liked r'n'b or rap, I think I've always disliked that stuff, then I liked Blink 182 and stuff when I was about 12. I like Good Riddance when I was little, but never knew it was Green Day. When AI came out, I found out it was them, then I heard some of their older stuff, and it followed on from there really. whatevergirl1
Yeah! i used to go for mostly popish songs(can't believe it. :/ ) but now i am totally immersed in rock music in general. I've listened to a lot of actual punk bands' music too....not like Simple Pan, Good Charlotte or whatever...I also go for artists whose sound reminds me of Green Day too, lol. shenanigans041
I started getting into pop-punk bands and rock and stuff when I was 10,I went to my first show when I was 11 and that was Sum41,At the concert I kept on hearing about this band Green Day,that was about in 2003 so they hadn't come out with anything for a while,I remember seeing the video Good Riddance (Time of your life) and I didn't really like them bacause I though all there songs sounded like that and I only saw Billie Joe in the video ,(I didn't know who Mike and Tré were yet) So then when there single American Idiot came out I was like "Ohhh thats Green Day,There pretty good!"But I wasn't a big fan untill they played Egos And Icons on muchmusic. I really didn't get into the american idiot cd untill like a year after it came out,I was more into there old stuff and I was like "Oh yeah they have new stuff"and baught the american idiot cd

stablesoulsgonebad
They saved me from some bad music. I was going in the(and i have no problem with these kinds of music, i just feel i am better off liking Green Day) Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, (just baisically, anything they played on KIIS FM. It wasnt a pretty sight. But also, Green Day is pretty unigue in my tastes as well. I live a lot of softer stuff besides Green Day. But Green Day is still, without a doubt, my #1!
