They don't like rock music so yeah not much point in talking about it. it's pretty sad, sometimes I wish my friends were more similar to me. This one time I was at the beach with this friend of mine. we were just lying down sunbathing, I was listening to my Ipod and she goes "what are you listening to?" I am the only girl in the class, and one of the ones that cannot stand Green Day saw Miley Cryus live and compares her as better than Green Day, so annoying those guys doesn't bother me. And you still call them friends? i was thinking the same thing... Sounds a bit silly maybe, but it's just kind of a personal thing to me, and none of my friends (as in, personal life friends, people on here probably do ) really know how much I love them. Of course when someone brings it up I won't be all silent, but it isn't something I'll bring up. But I feel insulted, Green Day are a huge piece of my life, I love them too much. And when people trow bad comments about the ones I love at my face It feels like I have a lump in the throat. =( I feel really sad The comments are always the same and they are completly stupid. His favourite bad is now Green Day, because of me, I showed him what they really are.. I think GD is so underrated.. I always tear up whenever I talk about my concert. I don't think they're underrated per se. But they do get a lot of shit thrown at them, and you can't expect everyone to "get" them. There's always going to be haters. As long as this place is alive and well you know that there's plenty of people out there that care about our boys. I get a lot of my 'friends' telling me that I should go listen to "better music". If they're too ignorant/arrogant to even try to understand (and instead criticize) Green Day and why you love them, then they aren't worth the time. They roll their eyes and say things like 'Green Day are shit' or 'Aren't Green Day a bunch of homosexuals?' and we get jokey and I punch them in the arm haha. But then they continue on saying that 'new' Green Day sucks and 'old' Green Day was awesome, which sparks me with a 'We are NOT having this argument right now, I'm tired of it'. I can't get excited about them anymore because everyone just puts me down. Whenever I'm talking about June though, and they're rolling their eyes and jabbing, I just throw out a 'Yeah, whatever, you just wish you were as passionate about something as I am about their music.' and 90% of the time they stop mid-sentence and get a look of self-reflection and sadness written over their face. They don't mind though as they know how much Green Day mean to me. It really annoys me though when people say bad things about Green Day and they havn't a clue about their music and can only name two songs or something.
