greenday_worshiper
I found waiting to be easy and I learned 86 in a matter of half an hour but I haven't mastered it yet there are some parts I could use help on. Of course When I come Around is easy and the others they mentioned.

ArmatageShanks39
when i come around is pretty easy if you can palm mute yet. pretty much any green day song is really easy, with the exception a couple solos on 1039. some advice tho:dont spend too much time on GD songs tho, you wont progress much...i made that mistake when i first started playng. theyre fun, but dont help much later. i kept learning em till i could get any song in about 20 seconds, then move on to the next one...i would be way better now if it wernt for all that. ANYWAY, the insanely easy ones i can think of are walking contradiction, WARNING(easiest song ive ever seen), burnout, church on sunday, jesus of suburbia, are we the waiting, 2000 lightyears away...many more. oh ya, and redundant is pretty easy, and i find really fun to play. try holiday after youve done a few of those, itll be a bit of a challenge with the solo and stuff. ArmatageShanks39
oh ya, and if its your first week, maybe you should learn some of the basic chords (a, d, e, g, c, etc.) if your having trouble with switching chords thatll help a lot. Linnea
Wicked suggestion guys...I think I might try Going To Pasalacqua...I love that song...how long did you guys as beginners, take to master a song? Going to Pasalqcqua is my fave song and its really easy! I'me learninf my self to play the guitar and i'm not so good actually. But as my mom always say to me: Pratcise! you can't play a song after you tried it once!
Linnea
i'm trying to learn Brain Stew too, my version has 5 chords. the problem i have are freakin power chords, i just can't get my fingers to do what i want *freak* and try Good Riddance, i have been playing a guitar just like for a month, don't have teacher or anything, and i learned it in like 3 days. and All By Myself, but you don't have really anything to play in that song Haha  in the beginnig my mom had to press my finger down and after a while i could play the power chords ^^ I also learned Good Riddance in a couple of days after i started playing. And dont have a teacher either

And dont have a teacher either lol my friend is learning to, she has a teacher, and she said she'll teach me, she did to me exactly the same thing with fingers like your mom, but she pushed my finger to hard and i've kinda cut it on a string since i have metal ones. i don't practice with that bitch anymore  i think i'll be able to play power chords in some time, i'm doing fine so far i think and try Espionage, it's pretty easy

angelfuck
Church On Sunday is the easiest. Then again, by the looks of this thread many of you might not know it. It's from the album known as "Warning" one of Green Day's best. And if you're just gonna say it sucks, please, just give it a rest.

angelfuck
Who's defensive? I'm just commenting on what I see. If you wanted to get into who's defensive, you is who it would be. I only wish to spread knowledge, as opposed to ignorance. So honestly, go eat a shoe if you're going to sit on the fence.

I have a big poster of an angry old man pointing at me with a frown, so I can look over and remember that I'm a piece of shit and suck at life. I'm not pretending anything, I only exhibit truth. Then again, that concept on these boards would be rather uncouth. The fact of the matter is, Church On Sunday is truly the simplest song to play. Whether or not I'm better than you or anyone here is not for me to say. I only see what's point out what I see, is there truly anything wrong with that? I never called anyone a name or attempted to make anyone mad. Warning is truly a fantastic album, but last I checked it wasn't very well recieved. As such I only mean to stop the hate before it is conceived. Do you recall when I mentioned defensiveness? Look at your above post and you'll see what I meant. I didn't mean to start a fight, I only wished to point out a fault. Of which before you even showed it I knew was there to be called.
