Ila Reto
im a bit pathetic, but i used to watch BIAB on the weekends...every weekend. as i was going to sleep. it got to the point where i'd be watching it for 3 nights in a row. idk i guess it made me feel not as alone. then after a while i discovered youtube and i got into watching all the really old shows from like, 1989-1993. and i didn't want to watch all this stuff from 2005. i just wanted the old stuff that i managed to miss. i still watch it, like maybe once every few weeks or so, but im not as dependent on it as i was before. dont ask, just...dont. amy_runs
I always get chills when I watch that movie. I always turn out all the lights, close the curtains, and blast the surround sound. [someone else said that also] It's great in every single way, and I'm just glad they made it.

Hermione
^Never noticed. Maybe the words have faded because it's old and probably got wet/damaged/etc during the war?im a bit pathetic, but i used to watch BIAB on the weekends...every weekend. as i was going to sleep. it got to the point where i'd be watching it for 3 nights in a row. idk i guess it made me feel not as alone. then after a while i discovered youtube and i got into watching all the really old shows from like, 1989-1993. and i didn't want to watch all this stuff from 2005. i just wanted the old stuff that i managed to miss. i still watch it, like maybe once every few weeks or so, but im not as dependent on it as i was before. dont ask, just...dont. You're like me! Bullet In A Bible and Green Day: Storytellers were the ONLY Green Day performances I had ever seen until a few months ago when I got the internet. So for 2-and-a-half years of Green Day obsession, those two performances were all I had . As you can imagine, I watched them both quite a few times to say the least But now I have a virtually endless supply of Green Day concerts on Youtube, and I prefer many of them to BIAB. I'd rather watch Woodstock, Reading 2001, McGregors 1992, Astoria 1998, or a whole load of other concerts.I love BIAB, but I haven't actually watched it for ages, I think I've already watched it so many times it's permanently ingrained in my mind anyway! karma1215
Can somebody tell me why BIAB is dissed by some people??Personally I liked it very much except that I thought that they should've replaced king for a day/shout with some other songs.. But other than that I love it!!So what is it that makes some people hate it??Maybe because it was shot in England instead of America... I've heard some criticism from Brandon Flowers-- the frontman for The Killers about them performing in England.
fev5
It really made me become a big fan of them. I only new about Green Day from American Idiot and then brought a couple of their old albums - when this came out though i saw how amazing they are live and they have become my favourite band ever since. FruscianteForPrez08
uggh, Brandon Flowers. I always thought it made more sense for them to film it in England rather than Washington like he said they should. We all know America hates Bush, filming it in England proved that the hatred was all over the world, that it wasn't just Amerians that were frustrated. People all over the world were affected by that album, what better way to show it than on film for everyone to see?

Hermione
With BIAB, I don't think making some kind of pro or anti American statement, or trying to be "punk" even crossed Green Day's minds. It was a concert, not a political rally. The political themes in American Idiot are simply a backdrop to the main character's coming-of-age story, not it's main focus. The concert was about having a fun and awesome show, nothing more. The reason they chose to film the DVD in England at Milton Keynes was it happened to be Green Day's biggest ever audience (other than festival appearances), so of course it would be the ideal choice of show to use.Brandon Flowers is a moron, he made the comments because he had a new album out and wanted some publicity.
