netty
thats the best part if you are just interested in Billie and his "bits" I find that part highly amusing, because I think I know why the band started with all that kind of thing. the shock value has gone out of it though and its been dragged down to nothing more than female titilation (sadly). just like guys for so long have found "girl on girl" action a turn on.... now the women get their revenge. Billie on Tre/Mike/whoever.... is bliss. rather than actually concentrating on their own sex lives! learning things from others can be a good thing. but its a case of, look, listen, think about it, learn a bit, then go and work out what it means in your own life. I do wish Billie would quit doing the wanking bit. its not doing anything other than add to the obessions.
Rae'n'shine
I love this concert. Somedays I wake up and think "I really want to watch a Green Day concert." And guess what! I CAN!! Plus the backstage stuff with Tre always makes me laugh. :teehee:
sydneygirl
I watched parts of it again last night and I still think that the version of Good Riddance that he did on it was the best version of the song he has ever done (and he always does an amazing job of it anyway). Just blows me away each and every time I watch that.
**nobodylikesyou**
^I agree Maribel. That is the best version of that song ever. It was a perfect ending to a seemingly perfect show wasnt it?thats the best part if you are just interested in Billie and his "bits" I do wish Billie would quit doing the wanking bit. its not doing anything other than add to the obessions.I was just kidding netty about that being the best part b/c of my sick ava (that I put on b/c Delfina said he was adorable)I do wonder how and why he chooses to still do that bit.I mean when I took my kids to the concert, I had no idea it was gonna happen, and was shocked of course. That was just I guess what I get for taking my kids to a Green Day concert. What I dont get is how he does that when his kids are there or family members are in attendance, such as here. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=29HW7XWKHe is so embarrassed he apologizes to his father-in-law. (He has the cutest smile when he apologizes..)I also wonder about BIAB, I mean I can only imagine what other kids say to his own kids about him with all the eyeliner and masturbating...... yikes. sydneygirl
I guess people around Billie and his family are used to that sort of thing. Billie's been doing it for so long that I'm sure it's sort of something that is "just something funny Dad does in shows".I think it is just some light-hearted fun. Green Day inject a lot of humour into their shows and the fans get that humour. Yeah, there was the shock factor, but really it's all done in fun. There's so much worse on TV or in movies and often there's a violent element attached to the sexual side in movies or shows or whatever. That's a lot more harmful. Billie's just being cheeky and funny and naughty. If Billie does it in the next lot of shows, that's fine, but if he doesn't, that's fine, too. Either way, as long as they keep the humour and fun in the show, and don't get all serious and boring it will be great! And in all honesty I can't ever see Green Day being too serious and boring. Never! They're just too cheeky and funny for that. Thank goodness. They prove that you can put out amazing music but not take the whole thing too seriously. mr.fender
i hope their next live Dvd (if they´re going to make one again) will be better than BIAB. it has so many cuts between songs, i´d really love to see fuck ups or the outtakes , some of the backstage stuff is really boring. Boston
when BIAB had the one nite showing in a theatre about 45 minutes away from me, the site to buy the tickets online was down...so i'm freaking out it's gonna be sold out before i get the tickets..i wound up jumping in my car and taking a ride to the theatre in a total downpour man, was it worth it tho...i got all teary with joy to see them on the big screen like that!!i'm such a sap.... once i got the dvd i watched it every night for a week, and i still love every minute of it I went with my friend and the drive was about an hour. The radio station hosting it gave away free posters and I stepped on my friend's foot rushing to get one. It was so great, I got teary eyed at the end of JOS and Good Riddance.Knowledge Its Knowldge from Milton Keynes that they left out of the movie!
