Idk if anyone’s brought this up yet, but does anyone remember an interview a while back where Billie talked about being a teenager and how his style was “a bucket of bleach on my head and I wore my dad’s old pants” not to be bad taste but you think the line “I got my clothes from a dead man’s closet” bit of a reference?

I don’t remember that quote exactly but I did think the same thing about that lyric because he has said before in reference to being 90’s fashion trendsetters that he just dressed like his Dad did in Dickies and work shirts.

I really love the song, but the lyrics aren't really sticking with me.  Despite playing it 1 Trillion times since it came out, it's kind of hard to sing along to.

Some takes on the wacky lyrics though:  

Murder in the front row could be inspired from a time Billie had to sit in the front row of a movie, and how painful it is to look straight up.  Haha

Getting clothes from a dead man's closet makes me think of Dilemma - maybe Billie's saying he's like a dead man walking - or maybe like others have said, he dressed old fashioned.   

Reading guns and ammo feels smarter than the rest of the word-salad, as does the bridge which felt like it was building to something epic and then let it pass.
