Popular Post solongfromthestars
That was fun. I think I'm allowed to say that Green Day played 4-5 songs for the fans in between takes. The filming was cool but those songs were the best bits. Billie threw lots of guitar picks with questions like: 'What's my favourite colour?' 'What number is on my mind right now?' 'What is my dog's name?' 'Who has the most spikes in their hair?' He didn't actually wait for anyone to answer. He just threw them at the first people he saw 😂 He also announced 'oof, my back' twice. Mike kept telling us we were killing it. The first time they played a song just for fun, Tre refused to play more when Billie asked because he didn't want to get sweaty. The barrier was mostly filled with hired actors but some fans got onto it in the centre and I got onto it past Mike, towards the end with some of the lovely ladies I met in the queue. There's such a small gap between the barrier and stage at the Palladium that I felt almost as close as I did when I was technically closer at stadiums. I can't believe I was still jumping at the end considering the jet lagged state I'm in 😂 If I remember more that I can share I will, but I need to sleep now. 14 1
Little Boy Named Booze
Is it true that they played Know Your Enemy like 12 times???

Well it was a move shoot, not a concert... if KYE is the song they're gonna show in the movie, then it's not surprising at all they played it a bunch of times to get a lot of different takes. I'd be more interested in knowing which were the songs they played for the fans in between takes. Hope those were some deep cuts!

If setlist fm is right they finally pulled Pasalcuqa out after 3 years They also teased Polyanna after nearly 4 years and teased Corvette Summer for the first time since before this current tour

Montclare
I saw that setlist and was laughing, because, what's one of the number one songs people say they never want to see live again? So they play it a dozen times. 😄 Of course, I'm guessing it's relevant to the movie, like the kids "knowing their enemy."

I think I’ve had nightmares where I’m at a Green Day show and all they play is KYE over and over 😜 1

I cannot imagine acting all hyped up while listening the KYE for the third time in a row But I'm guessing the vibe there, in a small venue and with the band playing live might have kept people hyped throughout the 5 takes. My first thought after knowing they were using KYE for the movie was that maybe they are doing the "bringing someone on stage" bit for the movie, but since it's not mentioned in the setlist I guess maybe not (or maybe that is the one secret people who were there decided to keep). Very nice that they played a small set and a few snippets for the benefit of the fans there. Hope Tre didn't get too sweaty in the process 2

But nobody talking about The Hella Tiny Tour poster??
DearlyBeloved87
A friend of mine was an extra yesterday and said he saw Machine Gun Kelly. Anyone know if he was just there randomly or if he’s actually has a role in the movie?

I don't think I've even listened to it in full. #FakeFan 😤 I could tell I was in the company of fellow ADHDers because Billie kept playing random chords and Tre tapped away at his drums whenever there was a lull 😂 Now I've had some sleep I can't believe that was all an actual thing I experienced. Green Day were probably onstage for a maximum of 3 of the 12 hours we were all there - there was a lot of waiting around and we had to leave to eat then go back in - but it was a unique and unforgettable experience for sure. The local fans were so nice 🥰 The lady next to me had never seen Green Day and said she was a reasonably casual fan, but after the first song she was like, 'this is the best day ever!' Pretty sure it's OK to comment on random impromptu bits of songs because they didn't have anything to do with the film... it says we can't post 'material in connection with the Picture,' not the event itself. 5 1

billy1986
So Know Your Enemy. American Idiot. And Good Riddance most likely will make the cut. Wish they added some different songs but either way hoping it’s good. MGK lol hope that’s not a collaboration.
The Grohl
So jealous of everyone who got to be an extra! What a cool experience! That being said, I have no idea why I can't get excited for this movie. I saw so much news about it on Insta and I just didn't care Maybe when we get closer to its release I'll care, maybe I'm just thinking about Ordinary World and how mid that was. Maybe I just want them to come back to Chicago. To a small venue. Called my house. Green Day come play my house I have a cute dog. Please and thank you. 3

pacejunkie punk
Movie is wrapped https://www.instagram.com/p/DHyoOydJBGm/?igsh=bnllb2x6MHVyYThj So now post production followed by however they manage to distribute it. Hopefully we’ll get release information by the end of the year. I was thinking about road stories they could use. Because we know this is based on the band’s own exploits touring during the early years, what are some of the road stories we know about that could potentially make it into the film? — The most well know story of course is Sleepy the disembodied head in a jar they had to sleep near. — That time their van got broken into in New Orleans and their clothes and road cash was all stolen. Fans donated clothes and cash for them to get to the next town. — The IG gdtourvan1990 has loads of stories, pretty sure that account was run by Kiffmeyer https://www.instagram.com/gdtourvan1990?igsh=MTY0b2ZnN2U0cTBtOA== Anyone know any others? 3
