It can copy voices, faces, steal your job etc. Exactly. This isn't the same thing... It's just all grouped together. I completely despise any artifical generation and I'd 100% disagree with the award if Now and Then is artificial. 2 Quote

JardyOfSuburbia Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Sucks they didn't win anything as I really thought they had a chance this time around. Also, unrelated, but how have they not performed on SNL since 2009? 2 2 Quote
Sanity Loan Posted February 3 Posted February 3 They don’t even announce anything rock-related during the main show? 1 Quote
DookieLukie Posted February 3 Posted February 3 What was that little red disk Billie had in his hand? Quote

Popular Post GreenDayJunkie86 Posted February 3 Popular Post Posted February 3 Here is how they looked way back in 2006 ❤️. Mike dirnt literally looks the same, lol. Billie NEEDS to start wearing eyeliner more often, not just during shows. Tre's still rockin the eyeliner 🥰. 4 4 Quote
Popular Post jengd Posted February 3 Popular Post Posted February 3 I can go with RS winning, their age shouldn’t matter at all as long as the humans are still making music - just my opinion, but the Beatles record is a complete fake and that I object to. Surely the likes of the Grammies should be trying to protect actual musicians and artists and not grouping AI/faked “music” alongside human performance but I guess with the amount of shit already out there that that boat has sailed! On a positive note, if you have to lose, losing to the Beatles and the Stones is no shame. I’ve never heard of St Vincent before, will need to look them up. As already said, the guys looked great and had fun on the red carpet. 11 Quote

They released a new album with new material in the same cycle as Green Day. Sure, I wanted Green Day to win, but it is what is. I wouldn't say they had their time and therefore should be considered as a legacy band.... by that token anyone could say Green Day had their time in the 90's and that they should make way for newer bands. Even people who was born the year AI was released, are 20 years old right now, fully grown adults with the right to vote, so I'm sure plenty of them would feel the same way about Green Day, that they had their time and are a legacy band now. The Beatles though... !! They're just not an artist who is still making new music. I don't buy too much into the argument that it's AI generated, as @RongoIK said I think it's more accurate to think of it as a very powerful noise reduction tool. But it's still their voice, their lyrics, their arrangements, so I'm fine with that. But for me it's more a historical artifact that was restored, than something that should be competing (and winning) against artists who are still making new music. (And I also believe they are overly hyped to begin with). 7 Quote
Mollyluna Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I‘m really sad. They would have deserved it so much… I love that record! Well, at least I’ve got a reason now for whining together with the Swiftie daughter… 2 Quote
Popular Post Little Boy Named Booze Posted February 3 Popular Post Posted February 3 Meh at least that mean Green Day will win a Grammy when they'll be dead. 2 5 Quote
Christian's Inferno! Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I wasn't really expecting Green Day to win anyway. At most, I thought maybe Dilemma might win. But it's the Grammys so who actually cares? 1 Quote
Popular Post CherryBombs&Gasoline Posted February 3 Popular Post Posted February 3 I couldn’t care less about the Grammys. It was great to see them get nominated as it’s a recognition of their work, but all in all, I just don’t like it when we turn art into a competition. I know that the Grammys are prestigious and all, but award shows are just a weird concept… That Beatles thing though…I don’t know, that’s just bizarre. 5 Quote

I hate to tell you that I think it’s actually an Omega Seamaster and costs about 12.5k GBP so around 15.5k USD. Very nice and I think he’s worn it before but can’t remember where. He also had a very nice gold chain in his wrist, you can tell it’s hefty by how it hangs. He got his bling out for the Grammies. 5 Quote

Genuinely curious about this. Quote
jengd Posted February 4 Posted February 4 My husband has a great love of little noise machines (he has a whole assortment of fart machines, cartoon sounds etc) and just loves using them at the most inappropriate times, Billie’s little gadget made me think maybe he’s as bad! 1 2 Quote
