DookieLukie
As someone who found the Tenacious D comment inappropriate, I don’t see how what Billie did is “offensive.” He didn’t have a “severed head”…it was a mask lol. And putting “idiot” or “nimrod” is something they’ve done for decades.
Alan86
https://www.siriusxm.com/blog/green-day-mike-dirnt-dookie So Mike did an interview with Adam Clayton (the bass player with U2) for SiriusXM recently. Is anyone able to access the full interview? 2

Probably due to being in Deadpool. 677k per day and up to #5 recently most popular for Green Day. Life is a mystery everyone must stand alone I hear you call my name and it feels like home Guardians of the Galaxy did well with it's music-centric narrative, and it's definitely a smart move for Deadpool and that Borderlands movie to use it as well. I like music way more than film, so it really pulled me in closer to the characters than if it would just an ordinary soundtrack. I was hoping it would have been earlier in the film, but it works where it's at. It's something unpredictable but in the end it's right. I hope you had the time of your life. Just saw the film this afternoon, and got a nice surprise at the end, as I hadn’t heard anything about this. So annoying that the soundtrack has 2 of the songs missing/omitted (Madonna and AC/DC), kind of makes it bit pointless. I feel that the right songs can make such a difference. More Green Day in film soundtracks from now on 😎.

Little Boy Named Booze
Tré Cool was supposedly an asshole after the show in Toronto. He was drunk. https://new.reddit.com/r/greenday/comments/1eitpyw/i_met_tre_cool_in_toronto/ I met Tre Cool yesterday in Toronto. He was very rude and I was so disappointed. He had a beer in his hand and he looked drunk. It was past midnight. He came for 2 minutes to talk to us (we were 3) and he completely ignored what we said and just started saying gibberish about playing a gospel show next time. I told him I flew from all over the country for this show and that they were my favourite band of the whole world and he almost didn't react and left. He just complained that I should have gone to the Montréal show on Saturday instead but I told him it was written on their flyer that it was a non album show because it's a festival. And he told me "you don't know about that". So you are lying about your own flyer ? And he proceeded to be condescending about "yeah you people in Québec all speak French 😒" At least I speak 2 languages what about you ? I only speak English to you right now what does it have to do about it. Do you feel this way about every other country that has not English as their primary language ? That was so disrespectful and shameful. I'm just a fan here that wanted to compliment you guys. I told him that I saw them last year in my hometown in Québec City and loved the show and I kid you not, he just left we were stunned. He didn't wanna sign anything or take pictures and he ignored the other fans after. We were so quiet and polite and I would have prefered if he didn't came to see us at all. I mean yeah you are tired after playing and it's late. But let it not be an excuse to be a dick. You probably made one million and we paid 300$ or plus for this show. It's part of your job to be grateful to your fans and show them you care. Especially when they travel from really afar and spent like 1000$ or plus to see you, they must really love you, please show some respect or acknowledgment. But then you see their true colors. Fame and money isn't everything. Having a bad day only shows how unaware you are of your surroundings and that you are a selfish person. Being kind is always free and easy to do when you are a minimum empathetic. That's just a pattern of his. I heard good things about Mike and Billie so I think Tre is maybe the only rude in the band. And if you know you are being a jerk when you drink alcohol, maybe you have a problem and you should not drink at all. I met so many bands in my life, many after the show, and most of them were exhausted but still took time for us. Just to tell you, after Tre left, Tim of Rancid was with him and he was more interested in us and he was really nice. And after Branden from Rancid came by at like 2am and chatted with us for a whole 15 min and took pictures and all. I'm not a huge Rancid fan, but I respect the band x1000 now because they've been doing music for a long time and they still manage to keep a good attitude and be grateful l. Tim + Branden were my highlight. My friend also told me he had bad experiences everytime he met Tre Cool so that was definitely not an isolated event. I'm relieved I'm not alone.
Popular Post Hermione
Reading through that I'm not seeing what he did or said that was bad? Like, he happened to have had some beers after the show and didn't talk to them as long as they wanted or say the things they wanted? Just sounds like he was a bit drunk and joking around and not there to spend a lot of time talking. Not sure why they'd expect more when just randomly meeting someone (not at a meet and greet etc), sounds like an entitled attitude the way they keep going on and on about how much they spent and traveled as if that entitles them to anything but seeing the show. I can't see a single thing he said there that is particularly dickish or "very rude".
jengd
I guess if you do finally meet one of your heroes and it doesn’t go great you are gutted and possibly more upset than it warrants.
Popular Post Hermione
It just sounds like he was saying random jokey stuff like he usually would. I don't know why they would expect a free full meet and greet and autograph/photo session when just randomly seeing him, a couple minutes chat sounds good to me. Plenty of times they don't even stop to talk at all when leaving shows. Maybe a language barrier thing (considering they took offense to him "lying about his flyer" when he just made a light hearted comment).
Rumpelstiltskin2000
Tre was a bit of a disappointment when I met him in the hotel where we were staying but at the time I was just glad he wasn't as rude as I'd heard from other people 3
pacejunkie punk
He’s definitely blunt and not overly polite but that’s not the same as rude or offensive (though he can be). In this case it sounds like they just didn’t appreciate his sense of humor or direct way of talking, he’s not a super engaging people person. And they don’t say where they saw him, but if it was at his hotel or somewhere he didn’t want to be accosted by fans then that’s on them.
Popular Post Cris.
This is why I partially don't want to meet them, like I would never go out of my way to meet them. I know they are humans and are entitled to have a bad day, or to be exhausted, or to be in pain, and you might catch them in one of those bad days/moments. And if you do, then you have this moment you have built up in your mind and it turns that in reality it sucks, or they were not as nice as you hoped, and you carry that memory with you for the rest of time. Even if you know it's normal and that absolutely no one can be nice all the time, I guess it will still sting. We don't know in what tone Tre said those things, maybe it was jokes that didn't land, maybe he was really being a bit of a jerk, so I have sympathy for the guy except precisely in that part of "Having a bad day only shows how unaware you are of your surroundings and that you are a selfish person." it's like, no it only shows they are humans. And also, you are paying for a show, you are flying half way across the country for a show, and you are entitled you expect a great show. But that doesn't mean you are also entitled to meet them and to expect them to be nice to you (unless he had paid for a meet and greet or something). And I say this as someone who has traveled abroad to see them because they were not doing shows in my country.

I’m not entirely sure what this person is even saying, it’s really hard to fully comprehend the rambling. Tre is a different personality and literally runs around joking 100% of the time. He seems to easily get on people’s nerves which is probably more of an insight on the frustrated person than it is on Tre. My follow up questions are really how much of a fan is this person? Toronto has a lot of casual GD fans in my anecdotal experience of living there for almost 30 years. Everyone knows Billie Joe and for some reason Jason White or “the guy in the back”. Most Torontonians are not really aware of Tre and are definitely not ready for Tre after driving in 2 hours of traffic lol 1 hour ago, CristhyneS said: This is why I partially don't want to meet them, like I would never go out of my way to meet them. And I say this as someone who has traveled abroad to see them because they were not doing shows in my country. The problem is that everyone has some form of self importance and think a red carpet should be rolled for them when they demand it. This is an attitude that’s common in Toronto now. Toronto has a higher socioeconomic status as well so there’s a ton of people who will buy their way through experiences even if they aren’t real fans. As a fan of over 20 years now I have an idea of how Tre is and know how to approach him if I see him and more importantly know how to react with him even if he’s a bit off. I actually expect Tre to be off and if he isn’t off then I’d be either really confused or disappointed. I should sign up for reddit and write in saying I wish I had that experience with Tre lol Cause honestly it wouldnt bother me one bit.
