Popular Post Hammie Stein
Hi All I have been looking over some photos from the European Saviors photos. I noticed Mike has been playing a Silverburst G3. I finally come across a clear photo which shows its an Epiphone, with a Mike Dirnt truss rod cover. I have had a quick look around and I dont think Epiphone have ever done a G3 in Silverburst? What do you all think? It does seem a little odd that Mike is playing an Epiphone, with the custom truss rod cover, in a color that has never been issued. However, Fender still sell his latest Roadworn P-Bass so he likely still has a contract with them?
Liam
Take it with a grain of salt but someone on reddit claims it was rumoured that Epiphone were planning a G3 reissue so this could check out. Someone else also claimed that the reissue was coming in natural and black, both of which he has played

Maddie86
I've been wanting an affordable Epiphone version of a G3 for years! I owned a 70s Gibson Grabber for about a year, it was a really cool bass but since it was so old I was kinda afraid to really dig into it when I played so I ended up selling it. I did make a tiny bit of money off it when I sold it, probably about a hundred dollars, but if i would have held onto it I could have doubled my money, the value of these has gone up a lot over the last few years
roquer
I would preffer it with the natural color instead of black. Does anyone if this bass would weight like the original Gibson or it will be more light? I think most (if not all) the Epiphone bassess are lighter.
Drink Coffee And Destroy
I think Mike using the Epiphone G3’s while being a Fender artist is like Billie Joe’s deal but flipped. Fender will still work with BJ out even though he’s a Gibson artist, it appears to be the same but reversed for Mike. I do hope an Epiphone G3 will be a legitimate release with all of the vintage reissues Gibson has been doing for Epiphone. I’ve played an original Ripper years ago, but not the Grabber. Gdfan2007
So do we think we’re just getting an epiphone, or will there also be a Gibson?

From what I've been hearing it's going to be one of the high end Epiphones that's around $1000 🙁 Just now, Maddie86 said: From what I've been hearing it's going to be one of the high end Epiphones that's around $1000 🙁 There will also be an updated rig rundown video by premiere guitar soon, they posted photos on their Facebook yesterday
