Green Day always record way more than we know.  Everytime they release an album, they may scrap 20-50 songs.  And I bet they've recorded before without telling us between album recordings.

You just described the trilogy sessions. There's so much in those, the "unknown trilogy verse", i'm alright, dropout from c&v, some paper bullets songs including dreamcatcher, working titles for songs like oh love, rusty james, the forgotten.. fuck, even an ozzy cover! the "miss judgement day" part from dirty rotten bastards..

As a foam fan, I'm not really offended, I'd feel fine even if it wasn't in their discog

Can we get some insider info on The Network?  Let's not dox them or anything but maybe some of you could say "I know some or all of them, and they are well"   Maybe one day they will do an unmasked era and do away with all the Green Day jokes.

Then instead of "Saviours" the follow up would be a rap/rock-genre EP named "Your Honesty" in 2026 with 4 songs featuring Lady Cobra with lead vocals in all of them and every song would talk about how educational nightlife is in the underworld.

Seriously though, technically we would not be enjoying "Saviours" now. Them being upset about the drop would cause many possible reactions, from a simple security alert to a permanent breakup between band members (if they argued each other for selling the album tape to competitors).

Realistically the lack of the negative reaction against "Father Of All" would mean for them they are doing everything fine, so the return to form with "Saviours" would not happen.

Every lyric is "she is my night life". The audio? Wow, it's loud!

Ironic, because "Wow! That's Loud" is my favourite song from Trilogy. It could make it almost pleasant.

i was thinking of the "F*** Time" instrumental, because it is a mess. It would fit that lyric.

You mean the tutti frutti "sample" used in stab you in the heart?

Maybe Warner didn’t want to spend more money on them starting the whole album process over, so they decided to say the tapes were stolen in order to get what they wanted.  Idk how much of a stretch that is but that would explain them not spelling it out for us, considering they’re still with Warner.

This would make the most sense to me. My biggest theory is Warner gave them a chance to record the album they actually wanted, which would become AI. But meanwhile they had Cigs and Valentines already partially made. So most likely Warner told them to go ahead and release them as The Network. And just repurpose and remix a bunch with new wave synths and zombie noises. Obviously not every track made the first Network release, so some of them ended up becoming B-sides to AI, and 21st Century Breakdown. And then later a few more were saved for Stop Drop and Roll, and The Trilogy.

And some were completely forgotten. "Where the hell's the forgotten?"

Wasn't 19th Nervous also gonna be on Nimrod originally? Man for some reason it just never made it to a record. Got rejected from Nimrod and later Cigs too. 🤔

Gonna throw this out there too. But based off that AI b-sides cd, I..... think 27th Ave Shuffle was originally the track titled Lately (One More Year).
