That Dude
Oh! When I picked up the vinyl and cds at the record store, they started playing the album right after I asked about the autographed copies. 😄 picking up my 5 year old, gonna see what he thinks of Saviors.
Popular Post Christian's Inferno!
So first streaming numbers on spotify are below (for all the newly released songs) Bobby Sox - 18,389 1981 - 8,641 Goodnight Adeline - 8,079 Coma City - 7,198 Corvette Summer - 6,624 Suzie Chapstick - 6,549 Strange Days Are Here to Stay - 6,208 Living in the '20s - 5,965 Father to a Son - 5,367 Saviors - 5,203 Fancy Sauce - 4,736 Now idk when Spotify updated these numbers so I have no idea how many hours worth of streaming that is, and a lot of those hours would've been before the whole world had access to the songs on spotify. So really, I can't tell how good/bad these first numbers really are. It's likely that people have been listening more on YouTube, from leaks and on other platforms, and spotify listens will be higher in the following days. At the moment, the ranking of the songs in terms of numbers is the same as the order of the songs on the album, with Bobby Sox getting even more listens due to it being the 5th single. I imagine the ranking of these songs in terms of streaming numbers will change after a little while as some songs will be more preferred among fans than others. 3
Popular Post redline punk
Bobby Sox is in some of the top Spotify playlists, so it's about to surge in plays in the next few days
Rumpelstiltskin2000
I've just got back on GDC for the first time since last night after Bobby Sox released and I've decided I give up and can't ever catch up it's been so busy Anyway after first listen (think I'm supposed to put my opinion in this thread) my favourites in no particular order are still the singles (except OEB) and Suzie Chapstick. There was nothing I disliked at all but some I need more listens to really decide. I can see why some people see similarities with other songs. For me it's just tiny portions of some tracks that remind me of other GD stuff but then it passes and I forget it. I don't think this will be in my top GD albums but I could change my mind as I've only had chance to listen to the whole thing once. Sidenote kudos to the UK store. Everything I ordered arrived on the day. Very impressed

Sad day for you guys 🥸 Where do you see Billie making out with anybody? Are you referring to the couple at the 2:10 mark? Watch it frame by frame.........that's not Billie. The tattoos on the arm aren't his. And again at the 3:18 mark?? Again.....not Billie. That dude has a touch of facial hair as well, so unless it was filmed on multiple days, or Billie did a quick shave....not him. What is the song from MM2020 Part II that is reminding me of Coma CIty? I've listened to that album like 2-3 times and barely remember (or care about it) but I think vocally it sounds like Billie from that album and like at least one of the songs on there
GuitarPunk94
Now i hope they will give the songs the credit they deserve and play them live at the upcoming tour, and not just the singles

I think it will be hard for them to do that with American Idiot and Dookie being played in full though. Especially if they or fans want them to play songs from other albums too

Platypus2000
Enjoying the album much more now I’ve jammed out to it on guitar, the title track with that D, C#, A at the end of the verses hits weirdly hard now? So fun I can’t lie. Walking Contradiction riff is basically Living In The 20’s, they love that riff man 😂

I was there first thing this morning, drove in the snow (up hill both ways) kidding it wasn't that bad, but they said they didn't allocate enough for what they ordered? Someone flipped out on their fb page saying they flipped the signed copies and that's why they didn't have any. But I'm seeing that all record stores are saying the same thing so it seems like a Green Day fault and not indie record stores....unless all of a sudden there's a shit ton of signed CDs on ebay. Yeah, at my listening party they said they were getting signed ones, but this morning they said they got an email saying there was not enough. There are some on ebay for 100+ dollars. No thanks. I can sign a copy if anybody wants and I'll beat ebay price. 99.99 for my signature and my son's as well. Maybe some other random people in my life. 😄
Popular Post Christian's Inferno!
Just a random thought but I love how Billie says "The 20s" in Living in the 20s Found this 50 second snippet of Fever on YouTube. I think this is the same snippet I found elsewhere yesterday but I'll repeat what I said before. An alright guitar riff but sounds very much like FOAMF. The clip gets louder at the end so idk what happened there, maybe they combined that clip with another short clip but didn't adjust the volume between clips? 5 1

Popular Post Brian
I haven't felt this obsessed about a Green Day album since 21st Century Breakdown. I didn't have that same feeling with the trilogy or RevRad even though I highly enjoyed all of those. Saviors feels like the album that everyone thought Magnum Opus of the Inglorious Kind was going to be but instead we got Father of All... It almost feels like this the "No Features, No Swedish Songwriters, No Trap Beats, 100% Pure Uncut Rock" they promised from last album lol 6
Popular Post The Grohl
I may not get my Saviors vinyl until next week, but I did manage to score a signed CD!! Here's the card for anyone curious: https://imgur.com/IQJrhd8 I got lucky. I reached out to a local record store months ago about signed CDs. The owner reached out today and told me they got exactly one signed copy and it was mine 10

Popular Post stories and songs
1 hour ago, Christian's Inferno! said: Just a random thought but I love how Billie says "The 20s" in Living in the 20s HARD AGREE. 2 hours ago, Redundantuserjinxboy said: Oh so this is why i fell in love with this band huh God damnit who actually thought the 1972 album would release? And be this good? I could cry I can so distinctly remember my first experiences with this band hearing American Idiot. My dad bought it and played it all the time. At first, it was too "upbeat" for me — I liked heavier rock and Green Day felt light by comparison. But I knew that it was a political album and really respected that, so I paid attention to the lyrics. I remember being like, "uh, who wrote this? Whoever did is amazing." Saviors gave me that flutter again of just being in awe of how well Billie is able to capture a moment in time and express such a wide range of emotions, and also just in awe of this band's musicianship as a whole. I've loved and embraced the vast majority of what they've put out since I became a fan, but this is the first time I think I've been so strongly reminded of why I fell in love with them to begin with. 2
Popular Post petros
Favorite track of the album for me is easily Suzie Chapstick. It's been a while since I last felt Billie's lyrics touching me not just for a social issue which I agree with their positions so I agree with their "political" songs.
