I think RevRad has the advantage of having three very successful singles (Bang Bang, Still Breathing and even Revolution Radio). Still Breathing is one of their most streamed songs ever with over 100 million streams and Bang Bang also has a lot of streams and even charted in some countries. That’s why I think it’ll be difficult for Saviors to overtake RevRad, but I’m pretty sure it’ll do better than FOAM in the long run. Fan reception was a lot more positive so I think fans will stream it more than they did with FOAM.

Yeah RevRad has the advantage in terms of singles success (at least so far, the band could still get some single success for Saviors later on). But Saviors has released in a more streaming friendly environment (2024) so we could see the non-singles get more streams than the non-singles from RevRad. Similar to how 21CB has more streams than RevRad largely due to the singles 21 Guns/Know Your Enemy but RevRad's non singles are all at least on 12 million streams while 21CB has some songs on 7-12 million streams. Saviors and RevRad could have a similar dynamic to that dynamic RevRad/21CB have. Saviors also has 3 extra tracks compared to RevRad so that could help Saviors catch up to RevRad at some point in the future. I'll re-iterate, if Saviors ever ends up overtaking RevRad, I think it will take a VERY long time to do so. Like maybe a decade or longer?

Im Still baffled when people say Fancy Sauce is a masterpiece or it’s in the top 3 tracks. Is this a joke I’m missing?

I really don’t mean to sound rude, music is subjective and everyone will have different opinions, but genuine question: what’s the appeal of the song?

I am hoping they announce an arena tour as I will not be going to the upcoming stadium tour. Maybe I am in the minority here - but I would really rather hear them play more new songs rather than AI & Dookie in full. Yes those are my favorite albums and their best albums, but we have all heard those songs so many times, especially the singles. I really enjoy hearing newer songs live or old songs that I haven't heard a bunch of times. Would love to hear them play deep cuts from old albums that don't get played often + new songs.

There are a lot of deep cuts on AI and Dookie that don't really get played at all. She's A Rebel, Extraordinary Girl, Whatsername, Having A Blast, Chump, Pulling Teeth, In the End. Plus I think they will have a few new songs on the setlist too so I would say go to one of those shows if you can. I mean that's better than going to a regular show where they still play all the same hit singles from those albums but also play more songs that they've played for basically every show in the last year like Know Your Enemy & King for a Day

Did anyone here received the signed CD? Was it worth?

A re-seller is offering me one in my country, by a crazy price, but a quick search on eBay let me down…lame autographs, like Mike didn’t even put an effort at all.

I appreciate they tried but I’ve seen better autographs signed in a hurry at airports.

It’s really up to your personal preferences.  I personally wouldn’t want to spend a ton of money on it, I just got lucky getting one for the normal price.  It definitely doesn’t guarantee the cd’s quality either because mine skipped twice!

@¡Nunes! It's not worth paying a high price for I don't think. I got lucky and got one at my local record store. But if I had to pay more than 20 for it, pass.

I know pop acts get streams in the hundreds of millions and they say Green Day doesn’t do well in streaming but 45 million streams already for a new album out less than two weeks?  That seems pretty good.

They had to have signed over a thousand of these and most of the ones I’ve seen look pretty sloppy and rushed as you would understand. Tre even signed some of them “Ringo” after a while

Pop acts get a lot of streams front loaded for a temporary window.

Good music and good solid rock albums get streams into perpetuity. Rock is not a fashion trend it’s a way of life.

At first I gave a lot more attention to other areas of the album but over the last week or so I eventually moved over to Fancy Sauce and I enjoy it quite a bit.

My take is that the chorus is big and has good contrast against the verse and the rest of the album. The vocals in the verse sound amazing as well. I think it’s a great ending to this album and just a fun song in general.

The song I scratch my head on is the title track. I’m just not getting it I guess?

Seriously, it's starting to bug me lol

Is it common for Green Day store deliveries to be almost 2 weeks late? and tracking is no help, I got an email and update it had been prepared for shipping on the 17th and then shipped on the 19th, since then, nothing  Must be stuck in Slovenia or something.

Reach out to the CS team at Warner and they may be able to re ship it.

They really suck a shipping things on time...or at all. Definitely reach out to their customer service team.

Trying out 21 Savage's album just because it's called American Dream, lol.    Not the worst thing I've ever heard, and dang check out those streaming numbers! They don't even decline chronologically like Savior.   I don't know what the singles are but the first song is the least streamed with 10 Million.   dang.

The title track is definitely a grower. Reminds me some of Somewhere Now, but I still feel it isn’t quite a complete song. Felt it could’ve been longer, but maybe they felt since it wasn’t the last song and somewhat of an intro to Fancy Sauce that maybe it should only be but so long.

Just caught up on the thread and people have been talking about when Billie wrote TADIKM. He said in one of the interviews (in Canada I think) that it was 2018. Then as @Alfsaid he changed the lyrics for Saviors.

I'd love to see the original lyrics from 2018

Idk how I feel about Fancy Sauce. As a song, or as a closer.

As a song and a closer, its instrumental outro is the best part about the song in my personal opinion. I love when bands have these extended instrumental sections that aren't just guitar solos. Classic examples of these are Chump's 2nd half, Welcome to Paradise's bridge and Panic Song's intro but these sections have been quite lacking in modern Green Day so these sections in the outro of Fancy Sauce and Coma City stand out, and in the case of Fancy Sauce I think is a great way of ending the album.

The rest of the song I'm kind of mixed on. I like it but I think I liked it more at first and it's soured on me a little bit. I don't know how I feel about it as a closer when Saviors would've been a perfectly fine way to close out the album, following a similar role that See the Light does on 21CB. In both cases, we're left with questions with unknown answers, which is a good way of ending an album. See the Light posits that the "ever after is in the hands of fate", leaving us with the question "What is our fate?" and "Will we see the light, will we see through the static". Saviors leaves us with the question "Will somebody save us?" and that question can be interpreted in multiple ways. Political (i.e. saving us from the American dream which is killing us, personal (i.e. depression, addiction), etc. Then Fancy Sauce comes along and idk what it's trying to do as a closer. Is it trying to answer the question that Saviors leaves us with? Is it trying to conclude the themes that come up throughout the album? Because I think the title track does that in a perfectly good way. It just seems like such a dark way to end the album. It would be like if 21CB didn't end with See the Light but instead Lights Out was the final track afterwards, and I'm all about dark songs. 21CB is a very dark album but even that album ends on somewhat of a hopeful note

I thought the weakest section of the album was the solo in Fancy Sauce honestly. Solo playing is a lot shakier than the rest of the music during that outro. I get it’s supposed to be hectic and like a descent into madness, but I just felt the solo could’ve been played a lot better

Hey! I gonna listen to saviors again tonight!

BUT! I want to hear what you guys think is the best album to pair it with? I was thinking I’ll be starting with 21cb and go directly into saviors.

Uno also compliments it nicely.  Idiot, perhaps.

More recording session clips including some we saw in the teasers!!!

Now I’m CONVINCED a documentary is coming!!!!

Didn't one of the guys say in one of the interviews (don't remember which there's so many) that with the ease they have in releasing stuff like the clips of the recording process a documentary either wasn't necessary or wouldn't be happening? I think it might've been Mike

But don't forget, they uploaded a couple teasers in the lead up to the Trilogy and they ended up putting out ¡CUATRO!

I agree with @Rumpelstiltskin2000, they definitely said in one of the interviews nobody would watch a two hour documentary anymore with all the short clips people share.  But, if there is a loophole, that conversation was about an in depth doc about the band, we are talking about a doc about this album so one does not preclude the other.
