Twundy
GreenDayFM: “While Saviors couldn’t nab the top spot on the Billboard 200, it was in fact the top selling album in terms of pure album sales for the week with 39,000. As mentioned on Friday, the album did debut at the top of the UK album charts with sales of just over 31,000. Unfortunately for Green Day, they continue to perform poorly where it counts these days and that’s in streaming. For it’s first week on the Spotify global top album chart, the album would land at #135. The lack of significant streaming numbers to pump up their “album equivalent units” makes it extremely difficult to compete for the top position on the Billboard chart.” Stream as much as you can this week folks!! 🤘🏻
GDFan2019
Do you guys think they'll eventually release Fever here in the States?
Popular Post HAPPY ZOMBIE UNICORN
Well, those numbers are not completely fair. The record sold 10.390 copies that are not counted on the Billboard chart, from indie stores: https://hitsdailydouble.com/indie_vinyl_sales 5
Miko
Even though I really don't care about charts and don't see it as fair measurement for album being good or bad, Saviors debuting at #4 is dogshit.
The 99th revolution
10 hours ago, That Dude said: If Saviors tracks were switched with songs from other Green Day albums....I hear there's an upcoming video about Green Day in the distance future coming up. Some serious Dude Theories with Hubert Sauce on 'em. Strange posts are here to stay / Jillie Bow said "bowie" I listen every day / all the users going crazy / GDC's on the fentanyl now / STRANGE DAYS ARE HERE TO STAaaaYY / Give me my robot / I'll teach it Spanish on the spot / Strange Days are here stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I were to both fit and replace Saviors songs, I'd do this: American Dream - Fits American Idiot, replaces the title track Look Ma - Fits Tre, replaces Sex Drugs and Violence Bobby Sox - Fits Kerplunk, replaces 2,000 Light Years Away One Eyed Bastard - Fits 21st Century Breakdown, replaces Horseshoes & Handgrenades Dilemma - Fits 21st Century Breakdown, replaces RHS 1981 - Fits Father of All, replaces Meet Me on The Roof Goodnight Adeline - Fits Tre, replaces X-Kid Coma City - Fits 21st Century Breakdown, replaces... Murder City Corvette Summer - Fits Father of All, replaces Oh Yeah Suzie Chapstick - Fits Tre, replaces Brutal Love Strange Days are Here to Stay - Fits Tre, replaces Dirty Rotten Bastards Living in the 20's - Fits Father of All, replaces the title track Father to a Son - Fits American Idiot, replaces WMUWSE Saviors - Fits RevRad, replaces title track Fancy Sauce - Fits 21CB, replaces See the Light Final Tre tracklist: 1. Suzie Chapstick 2. Missing You 3. 8th Ave Serenade 4. Drama Queen 5. Goodnight Adeline 6. Look Ma, No Brains 7. A Little Boy Named Train 8. Amanda 9. Walk Away 10. Strange Days 11. 99 Revolutions 12. The Forgotten Now these could be weird opinions but it's based lyrically mostly. So if I were to replace Misery for example I'd replace with Jesus of Suburbia because they both have storytelling from certain perspectives. Suzie Chapstick would replace Brutal Love because they're both slow love-related songs ofc. 6 hours ago, That Dude said: And Bobby Sox could be a story of dating apps, I guess. The dating apps are mentioned in Suzie Chapstick, "Will I see your face again / not just photos from an Instagram". Feel free to disagree, it's just my thoughts. 2. Someone on r/greenday pointed out the Joey Ramone -> Saviors cover thing days ago. 2
Gonzalo17
Green day have been realeasing, in the last 7 years, anniversary editions and a shity album (with a very good final song, with a hidden message of still having talent) for make us thing that the band is in their final decline, so they surprise US even more with this Epic new album when it's released... They are genius

ekim
Idk maybe coming off not only foam but three mediocre singles after wasn't helpful but I don't think any rock band nowadays can debut at #1 as long as generation z aka dumbass! Exist I'm sure green day sold the most physical copies out of all the artists it's the stupid lazy streaming bs that put the shitty rappers and pop trash country dogshit at the top above green day

Popular Post Hermione
54 minutes ago, ekim said: Generation Z as in zero taste in music movies TV shows etc... OK boomer . There's always been shitty music and good music around. Always been usually pop at the top of the charts going all the way back to the 50s.
Popular Post luketrebilliemike
37 minutes ago, ekim said: Generation Z as in zero taste in music movies TV shows etc... in the 90s and 2000s there was lots of pop artists who regularly beat rock acts like green day in the charts, its not a generational thing. There are lots of Gen Z rock and punk fans; there are more music choices these days, too. This album was never going to outperform streaming with the wide age fan base Green Day has who may prefer physical media. Also while this is an amazing album, its not as clear cut great as AI was, when they was at there height.

Seriously, you're really just starting to get fucking annoying here. Can you please just shut up about pop/rap music. It's really god damn tiresome It's honestly really fucking stupid if vinyl doesn't count towards the Billboard 200 anymore. Like, why wouldn't it? That's just going to demotivate artists from releasing Vinyl if it's going to harm their CD sales which do count towards the chart performance (EDIT: Realized that it's indie sales that aren't counted, not vinyl specifically. But still that's dumb)
