Not really, I think the issue is that someone is marketing themselves as the #1 music reviewer across an entire global platform yet allows biases to leak into those reviews. It’s a bait and switch approach and it sucks. Are you a music vlogger or a music critic? Completely two different things. Anthony has also just become more and more pretentious over time. I honestly tried to give him a chance a few times but I can’t get over his attitude. Sorry dude your IQ is far too low for me to tolerate it! He’s essentially that friend you take to the movies who never admits the movie was good. The same kid that spent all summer at the cinema… 2

But I'm still having a hard time ranking the songs, it's like with every listen the entire list gets shuffled. Everything is so damn good. 4 1
Christian's Inferno!
7 hours ago, Doggins said: Saviors didn't make it into the top 50 charts here on Australia, interestingly their Greatest Hits album did! At number 38. Maybe the media attention got people feeling nostalgic The album's not even been out a week yet. Why would it be on the chart? FOAM got to no. 1 on Australia, I find it highly unlikely that Saviors won't chart

devilskind92
This album has some song titles that really have me scratching my head. Bobby Sox, Corvette Summer, Suzie Chapstick, and Fancy Sauce are kind of mystifying. I get that Corvette might be nodding to a certain vibe or era, but the rest? I'm totally in the dark about what they're supposed to mean. I know what bobby sox are and who Suzy Chapstick is, but they don't seem to relate to the songs at all. So what's the deal? Could these titles be leftovers from the 1972 project? Perhaps back in the day each song title was meant to reference something unique from a specific decade or era. And maybe they just stuck with those titles even after the album's core concept changed.
HAPPY ZOMBIE UNICORN
Updated us sales figures, now it’s predicted at 51K, with 40K album sales and 11K from streams. https://m.hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=339294&title=TOP-20%3A-SAVAGE-STAYS-PUT--SAVIORS-LEADS-DEBUTS That would mean ~6 Million more streams compared to FOAM, and 2K less album sales. Don’t really get how this is possible especially considering all the vinyl variants, but let’s see. 3

billy1986
…makes no sense how they do math with this. This album deserves to be #1…Keep streaming and buying copies. Let’s try a grass movement approach. I did my part bought 1 digital copy, 3 cd’s 2 signed..and the deluxe black vinyl

And maybe they just stuck with those titles even after the album's core concept changed. Most likely some were leftover from 1972. Suzie Chapstick was definitely a popular commercial in the early 1970's. Billie said on Howard Stern that Bobby Sox was a working title and it just stuck. I imagine Corvette Summer was a 1970's movie where the lead actor transforms a 1973 Corvette. Corvettes were also very popular at that time and in the early 80's. At least it was in the area I am from. I dropped a link in the Fancy Sauce thread about what I think that reference is.

It's wild to me how popular rap/hip-hop is, considering I have absolutely ZERO relationship with that genre. I don't listen to it, no one I know listens to it... And yet it's always extremely successful. I guess I'm just old and detached, huh. Time flies.
HAPPY ZOMBIE UNICORN
I mean Amazon.com is about to run out of CDs (says 10 left and more on the way), sold 4K+ in the last month (so excluding preorders at time of announcment), and this is only the CD, only on Amazon (only in the US). I find it hard to believe they sold 40K copies between cds and the many vinyl variants. But I must be missing something.

It does seem weird but the only thing I can think of that boosted FOAM was the way they tied a presale purchase in with a code for the Hella Mega tour, that helped sales a lot. I got to think Saviors is selling better though in the first week of release if not presales

Popular Post GuitarPunk94
physical cd's are dying, sadly in my city in germany (~50.000 people) i checked two stores who sell electronic entertainment stuff and other electronic goods the second largest didnt even get the new album, and the largest store (its the largest electronic goods market company in germany) only had 2 cd's available (i was lucky enough to get one) and what drugs did the warner company take to use a different cd box format? i got every GD album as cd and the saviors album is "bigger" in its size, my whole collection looks weird now and talking about suzie chapstick: i'm not crying, you are crying its easily one of the most beautiful songs i've heard in a looong time 9

Montclare
I'm content with a 3. Of course I'd love a #1, but after seeing last week's numbers, I thought we'd be 4-9. And knew there was no way the current 1 (who debuted with 133,000) was going to fall beneath us. I'm more annoyed at the #2.
CherryBombs&Gasoline
I still haven’t got my vinyl, which I ordered from a large store in Germany. I was supposed to pick it up on Friday but didn’t receive a mail telling me that my order has arrived. I still went to the store to check and realized that they had no physical copies of the album at all. I then went to two other stores. One of them had the CD but not the vinyl, the other one had nothing. I got another e-mail in which I was told that my order is on the way to the store. That was on Saturday but I haven‘t heard from them since. It’s really weird. It’s a new release after all. Why does it take a week for the physical copies to arrive at the stores?
