Welcome to paradise! Green Day is set to headline EA Sports’ Super Bowl party The Madden Bowl, Billboard can exclusively report. The event will take place Feb. 9 at the House of Blues in Las Vegas. Also set to perform are rapper Big Boi with special guest Killer Mike, and Breland.

“Prepare your ears because we’re gonna bring the loudest show of Super Bowl weekend!” Green Day said in a statement. “Stoked to reunite with Madden NFL and remind the world that rock and football go together like EA SPORTS and It’s In The Game!!”

Wasn't super clear if the performances were gonna be streamed.

I tried to get tickets for this, but wasn't selected for the invite. The event time from the ticket request EA sent me said from 6:30 to 8:00. This includes the Madden match plus a few other performers, so Green Day won't be playing that long. There's supposed to be an after party but Darius Rucker is playing that, not Green Day.

Tbh anything is better than American idiot at this point, it's like kicking a dead horse over and over again. I want them to play something so special and so unexpected. I'd love to hear American dream again live.
