Karol Oliveira
Just saw that the podcast One Hit Thunder released a special episode where they talk about the album (and one of them attended the Irving Plaza show). I haven't had the time to listen to it yet so I don't know if their review is positive or negative. Here is the link to listen on Spotify: One Hit Thunder Saviors Episode 1

Popular Post CherryBombs&Gasoline
Very positive review from German online music magazine laut.de (4/5): https://www.laut.de/Green-Day/Alben/Saviors-122528 (For reference, they gave FOAM and RevRad 3/5, whereas everything from the trilogy got 2/5) Musikexpress, another German music magazine, gave the album 6,5/7 (weird system but ok). It’s only a very short review but I guess there’s a longer one in the magazine‘s printed version. https://www.musikexpress.de/reviews/green-day-saviors/ Last but not least, Visions magazine also praised the album. Seems like they don’t rate albums by numbers. However, they label the record a “beauty“. I guess that’s their rating system. https://www.visions.de/review/green-day-saviors/

That Dude
What does Tom Macdonald think of Saviors? That is the real question. Fantano dislikes Tom, so....nah. Tom's gonna hate it. Lol. But he might let Green Day be on one of his songs making fun of their kind....the devil's.
TheMostExpressivePrice
Reviews are useless after 2002 and the spread of internet to masses. Nobody has to listen to critics, they can simply listen to the album online, then they can rate it on their own. No one needs Macdonalds, Fantanos et co. They only give the public their always subjective opinion trying to increase their publicity and/or popularity.
Popular Post greenalert997x
Te truth about ,,mainstream'' reviewers is that a lot of them don't pay enough attention.. to be able to reliably rate new music. Nowadays The art of reviewing often comes down to choosing sophisticated words - using as many epithets and metaphors as possible. Sometimes I come to the conclusion that some reviews often need to be reviewed as well. Because instead of a reliable musical analysis with thorough refrences to songs structure etc., we get some manifestation od graphomania, shallow poetry-like reviews. Lot of words, little knowledge. 5

Yes! I completely agree and this is coming from someone who writes reviews. I usually hate reviews for big publications because they use meaningless sentences like "the song is the bubble gum sweetness that makes your mouth water." What the hell does this tell me about anything? Personally, it's why I try to have a more conversational style to my reviews. It's pretty much me trying to flesh out why I like a record beyond saying "it's good. you should buy it"

Tonight. 😄
