I went to the one in Syracuse NY with a friend, we showed up an hour early and I think we were the first ones to check in at the counter for free merch. We each got 2 posters, a pin, a lyrics booklet, and a wrist band. The store got 4 shirts to give away, they had everyone put their names down on some papers and drew names after the album played. I didn't see any physical copies around, and they didn't play Billie's intro. It was pretty chill though, only about 40 people.

The man was wearing a winter coat in LA.  He'd break in two here.

Seriously! I was laughing at him.

-11 with a feels like of -27 in my area of Kansas. Very thankful I have zero places to be tomorrow and Monday (holiday for me).

I was really surprised at the turn out. They had given away all of the lyric booklets by the time I had showed up, but I did win a shirt at the end. The reaction to the album was really positive, everyone in the store started clapping and cheering after fancy sauce finished. I can’t wait to hear the album again on Friday.

It's true, us Californians are wimps  It's like 40 degrees here at night right now and we're freezing our butts off. Billie cracks me up though with his big winter coats

I'm a californian however the only time I get cold is when it gets to the 30's.  Otherwise 40's are a breeze.

Was anyone able to identify the “play this song for your dog” teaser?

The closest sounding thing is the second half of the chorus for Living in the 20s. It could be an early version of that or it could just be a scrapped song.

I didn't hear it, at least I don't think so.  Either way, for an album full of short songs with very simple and standard arrangements, wow it felt massive! I think my least fave is Suzie Chapstick. Can't say what my favourite was until I listen again properly, but goddamn 1981 is shockingly amazing! A couple of "jam" style interludes or outros certainly stood out, lasting longer than they normally do in GD songs, and damn there's a lot of lead guitar!

1981 came out as perfect as I imagined. It was worth the 5 month wait since the first live performance.

Here's one that was kind of interesting. He said that director Wim Wenders was at the Egyptian Theatre next door.

Unfortunately, the listening party in Japan is on the 19th and I can't go because I am 250 miles away, but just watching everyone enjoying themselves makes me happy ☺️ I can't wait for the release date 🤩

I was lucky enough to win one of the ONE NIGHT ONLY shirts, stoked to have that along with my button, poster and lyric book. Goddamn I wish they were letting records or the CD go!

No lyrics book in NL Delft :) But I won a canvas!!

I also have a extra tote bag and poster. Is someone in NL willing to trade both with a lyrics book?

Is the lyrics book the same as the booklet? (Except for the notes).

We had a few from the netherlands in Lingen but I think the store only had 4-5 Lyric Books

So great they turned up a small, indie store, love that.  Would love it more if I could have been there too of course.  Tre said on IG they finished shooting a music video before going…. And passing a blunt around, naughty boy 😂😂.  Billie looks fab in pink 😍😍
