What store is this please? In Bristol, UK, I got the last t-shirt and a lyric booklet for my partner. The album is so good so far!

It’s a store in PA!

Awesome! I wish they would have more signed CDs here in the UK too ❤️

One giveaway here for Dublin gig tickets, put in a goodie bag for one lucky person. They had a TON of posters left over, probably got sent a couple of hundred when there was only room for like 35 people in the store 🤣

Loved the album. They played it nice and loud 😎

They're gonna give Osheaga tickets in Montreal during the listening party.

Dealt with a blizzard last night, so I will miss the first Green Bay listening party, but should be good to go to get to the other store at 4.  Not sure if I would even see anyone at it, but enjoy the listening parties for those who have gone!

Didn’t win the shirt, but I know one of the people that did. I’m on my way home now but I did take notes on my thoughts on every song.
I do think, I need to relisten to FOAM, between seeing what I liked about this record and hearing the songs that have come up on the Sirius Green Day Radio.

How long do these last?

Looks like a biker gang is here at BJs Music. With a sign that says we love BJs out front, 😄.   Why is this is Spartenburg, SC when it could have been in the much classier Greenville?  Seriously, how did they pick these stores?  Lol.  Central to the state or what?

my initial reaction is positive!!! but it was hard to get a real feel for it cause people were talking! everyone quietly sang along to Dilemma though which was special.

some folks were talking about the SWMRS situation after father to a son…

also I was expecting some cringe or… interesting lyrics at some point (a la “I feel like a cello lost somewhere over the rainbow” or “sex drugs and violence, English math and science “) and I was pleasantly surprised! Except for the second verse of Livin in the 20s 😂

This is such a cool  and inclusive idea.

After a decade of complaining about shitty marketing, it’s nice to have something cool like this to look forward to. Good job to whoever’s idea this was.

Anybody here from Kansas City? I’m going to the one at Mill’s here about 45 minutes.

For no reason at all they were closed when I got there waited a few minutes and tried calling them even called to confirm they were doing the listening party a few days before so luckily there was another record store in driving distance before it started.

Got back from my listening party aside from swag they had signed cd’s to order at least mine did with pickup the 19th….Bobby Sox was great it was packed everyone loved that and said that should have been a lead single. 1981 sounds straight out of mid 90’s Green Day and another fan favorite…father to a son came on and everyone said shhhh and quite…that got the most reaction out of my party and some people were teary eyed that was the consensus favorite. Coma City Corvettte Summer Suszie  Chapsticks people were singing along too. Side B is better songs have influences from the cure to the cars to the replacements…many have sounds that would fit on insomniac/nimrod/warning…production wise best since AI/21st Century Breakdown…Billies voice and harmonies best since 2009…hard guitars that blend Insomniac style with horse shoes and hand grenade aggression very heavy and buzz saw mixed with Beatles/The Kinks harmonies…fancy sauce has a great instrumental and tres drum fills are sick Mikes baselines are great in Coma City and Living in the 20’s…both very dark/bleak lyrics but very relevant…saviors the song was hard to hear because of the vocal mix sounding like Billie is singing through a megaphone. Guitars on the second have sound like static age like riffs…they made a record that is a blend off all their previous albums with a pinch of new sounds as well…very mature yet head banging super sad topics that make you marvel at the lyrics…as a fan since 97 being a kid and my mom bought me nimrod and as someone who’s favorite album is either Insomniac/21st Century Breakdown…I loved it..Bobby Sox and Father to a Son got the most pop and response from the crowd and should be singles. Strongest effort since 09 I’d put it top 3-4 of all their albums…although I just got out…my gallery of sound said the turnout was the biggest they have had in forever and everyone pre-ordered signed cd’s and with talking to the crowd ordered multiple copies prior the crowds age were kids to people in their 60’s..families, couples, singles it was a special moment everyone loved it hype seems real…Green Day IMO made another great album…Bobby Sox and Father To a Son need to be singles…very impressive and I feel fans of all eras will love this album

I can't deal with the emotions of Idiot in public, that album is for me and me alone, dang it.  Crying in the car.  Crying in the shower.  Crying alone darnnit!

People asking for vinyls but they don't have them yet.  Haha.  So weird seeing real humans that like Green Day.   I thought you were all bots.

Put my comments in wrong thread but interesting how all the stores have done things.  Only two lyric books and t-shirts at my store which they gave as prizes.  Played album once, went very quickly but I loved it.  Roll on Friday.

A record store close to the one with listening party was had a big Saviors window display and copies inside so I went in and asked if they were actually selling them today,  the guy said yes, looking at me like I was mad and I said but it’s not released til Friday.  He looked a little panicked and said he would check.  When I went past later he had taken them all down but don’t know if he sold any!

Max J records in Fairhaven MA was packed the owners were overwhelmed lmao. Energy was great in there. Then most people left but they played the album a second time, currently on Saviors again. Love it!
