The same organization that said they were for destruction of the nuclear family. The same organization whose leader used every dipshits money that’s ever supported BLM to buy a mansion in California. It’s all a scam to create division. The same thing that Donald Trump gets accused of, but hey it’s alright if it’s your “team” right? The organization is not synonymous with the idea of BLM, and most supporters act independent of it.

It’s much more complicated than that and has been in the works for much longer than a 4 year presidential term. Anyone from either side that simplifies the blame game like that has a poor grasp on politics. I don’t pretend to know any of the answers but I know enough not to blame one singular person or group. Popular Post stories and songs
It might seem like old news to us to hear Billie take a stab at Trumpism, but it is really no small deal to make that kind of statement on one of the most widely watched programs of the year (and clearly, a whole lot of people had no idea Green Day felt that way). Few artists today would do that. And no, of course the country’s vast political issues can’t be blamed on a singular person or group, and Billie has talked enough about it for us to know he also realizes this (don’t assume because anyone hates Trump that they are necessarily pleased with the Democrats rn either lol). But Trump and his following stand for hatred and bigotry and continue to hurt a lot of people in a major way (see: The Supreme Court built under Trump we’re now stuck with for the next several decades). I am extremely proud of how loudly Green Day disavows that shit and invites anyone who believes in those “values” to see themselves out. I found Green Day when I was 11 and they were the first band that made me realize music could be important. The passion this band has for the issues that matter to them single-handedly got me into activism as a kid and ultimately led to what’s now my career, so. Maybe the “MAGA agenda” line seems like a silly little thing, but I bet it also made a lot of people feel a tiny bit seen and maybe even made some pre-teens perk up.
Popular Post billy1986
Im a republican and a Trump supporter and I’m not mad about Green Day saying what they said….they are still my favorite band ever and that will never change they have the right to say whatever they want. So people are way overreacting but I don’t think it’s fair to say (republicans/democrats/trump fans/trump haters are bad) the world isn’t blank and white you can have different beliefs then your favorite band…either way glad they are getting traction they sounded great as normal….anyone have the coverups set list?
Flashback
I am curious if the performance can get Dilemma on any charts. The reaction was overall mostly positive, wasn't it?
htlecso
Dilemma debut video is confusing. It's flawless. Every note. It makes me think the performance was either heavily edited, or it has some backing track or something. It would be nice to hear a soundboard recording. This was just perfect, from the begining to te end and doesn't have that live vibe.

I really wonder how it will sound live, in a normal concert , no playback, no backing track, just pure live. I like and appreciate the musical skills of Billie Joe to the maximum but I guess that won't be the same crystal-clear flawless one.
Popular Post jengd
Dear me, we’ve gone from complaining about the sound for the Amazon performance to complaining the NYE performance was too perfect! The comments on Twitter from some people are just appalling. No wonder it feels like society is falling apart when people feel free to say such horrible things. 8
htlecso
It's not complaining at all. This is just interesting from my point of view. i'v been listening to Green Day since Insomniac was released so I can say i'm following them for a while and know how they sound. This is not more than a layman's comment. Take it easy

Popular Post The Grohl
The altered lyric is so Green Day that I didn't expect it to get such a strong reaction. Where have these people been for the last 2 decades? Its like when the alt right tried to claim Depeche Mode and the band was like um.... Have you heard our music? 11

I felt so bad that their mix for the Amazon performance was so shitty, and beyond their control. That’s definitely not the impression I want them to make while trying to launch a new album when we know how amazing they are live. I’d MUCH rather their performance be cleaned up to sound a little extra good (and to my ear, it’s not like they were just playing the studio version, they just had some playback behind them at times, which a whole lot of musicians do, esp for a TV performance) than the opposite. They’re an awesome live band and deserve to be well-represented at this kind of stuff.

THAT’s the guy you think will solve your problems ? GTFOH Trump became bankrupt in the 80s I believe. If you are born into millions and billions and become bankrupt you’re a fucking idiot. In his case he just extended his investments too far out and didn’t hold enough liquidity. Rookie mistake. 13 minutes ago, Ryan said: People need to learn the old-school method of stirring the pot and getting out 😎 Sometimes if the bathroom is full I piss in it. 13 hours ago, Cunt said: Over 100 years in the making It was built on shaky ground from the start. 14 hours ago, Little Boy Named Booze said: Crazy the comments under their X/Twitter post. Popular Post Alan86
Billie changed that lyric along time ago. He played it this way in the promo for Father of All on The Howard Stern show. That was more 4 years ago and I'm sure he changed it long before that. It's puzzling that it's gained this amount of attention. Any publicity is good publicity I guess.
