My friend and I purchased standing tickets for this. There does not appear to be a gold circle - is this the case for everyone else?

Good luck with that. You couldn't pay me to attend this arena again!

I'd always heard people dismissing Paris as a kind of no go for fans going to  shows but when I had the opportunity to get a ticket to the RevRad show at this venue in 2017 for a low price I decided I'd give it a go. After all it couldn't be that bad could it?

I really wish I hadn't bothered. I've attended a lot of gigs for all kinds of bands and it's the only time I've ever asked security to pull me out. I don't want to sound rude but the people at the show just didn't play fair or nice, they love to drink to excess and some were even bordering on violent. After being pulled out I went to stand at the bar where it was quieter but there were drunks everywhere staggering around and into me wherever I stood until I walked out. Only my opinion of course and if you were in a seat maybe it's OK but I'll never go back.

Also I was stood on the barricade to the side of the catwalk and the sound was terrible almost distorted.

I arrived from Brussels overnight and lined up from about 6am and when doors opened I was pushed into one of the barricades which fell with me on it and there was a drunk guy leaning over me with a half eaten camembert in my face with a bottle of red wine!

This is the thread for the Paris Hella Mega show with people complaining also (not same venue but...)

I have been to concerts in over 15 countries and France is really something else. In my experience 95 % act like complete assholes including security. I was queuing for their last two shows in Paris (Bataclan & La Defence) and it was just awful.

Dang - I've been really hoping to experience seeing Green Day in Europe, and I have limited dates I can go. This seemed like a good one. Plus I had someone bail out on me -- so I was actually coming here to ask if any fans from here were going to do a meetup. Then at least I could meet some people and not feel like an idiot flying to Paris to see a show alone :)

The tour dates doesn't really work well for me either, so I'm going to this show, but with seats this time.

Heh ... Well, I know I'm just a stupid American (American Idiot? groan) - but if you know a group going I could meet up with, let me know. I've always wanted to see GD in Europe and this seems like my chance. But like I said, trying not to look like a dumbass wandering around by myself. I prefer to look like a dumbass with other people.

France and French Switzerland are definitely the last places I'd recommend to an American seeing Green Day in Europe for the first time, but if you're young(ish) and/or fit, you'll probably be alright. Getting in was a fucking nightmare in 2017, but once I was inside, I enjoyed the show even though I got bruised ribs. I'd go back if I was absolutely desperate to see a show and it was the only one I could get to. Paris is also a beautiful city with cheap flights to the rest of Europe and North Africa, so there's that.

Anyway, whichever show you go to, no-one is going to think you're an idiot because you're alone, so don't worry about that. Loads of people do it and you'll meet someone decent in the queue even if you can't find anyone online.

You won’t look like a dumbass if you go alone. Most people won’t even notice, and if they do they’ll either not care or they’ll strike up a chat with you. I go to shows alone all the time and haven’t had a single bad experience with it. Yes it can be boring while waiting and may FEEL a little awkard but then you can just talk to the people next to you about the band or call a friend to make the time pass.

You will not look like an idiot for going by yourself. I go to shows by myself all the time. If I hear anything about a meet up I will let you know. 😊

thanks - I mean I do it in the U.S, all the time too ... It's just that, if I'm going to go all the way to Europe to see a show, it would be nice to be social too. Otherwise, may not be worth it.

Heh - I mean, I'm old, but I don't really mind mosh pits and stuff - so, what are we really talking about here? I'm intrigued :)

Hello! I'm going to this show and hoping to queue early to try and get to the barricade. Not sure how early that should be - it'd be the first time I do this in France, so if there is anyone with experience at this or other French venues of similar size, please let me know.

Also, anyone else coming and hoping to meet up and/or queue together, please let me know!

As I said in the other thread in 2017 we arrived about 6 am and there were about 20 people (max 30) in line at that time. Hope this helps and enjoy the show.

They put us into barricades quite early too so best to have food and drink with you (if it's the same as 2017 anyway)

In 2022 I arrived about 8 am and had number 52. But the queue was so terrible organized that getting the front row was only a matter of luck.

I hate when they do this. It was the same the time I saw them in Venezuela. I've never seen so many people needing to be pulled out of the crowd before even the opening act had started started.
