Billie Hoe
I’ll be going… my first GD concert since 2017 and I’m really excited for it 😙 especially if they decide to play the American Idiot “deep cuts”. I think I’ll die on the spot if I hear them play Homecoming
It's Splash Time
I got a ticket, but I confess I was confused with the ticket options (why is there both general admission and standing?) and just went with Stehplatz. Ticketmaster wasn't working so I used eventim, and the only option for getting the tickets was delivery so had to get the worldwide delivery fee on top of ticket price 🙃 Glad I get a physical ticket from the tour though, I love them for my scrapbook. Standing/Stehplatz is far from the stage, Golden Circle is first area in front of stage. 8 hours ago, Stjimmy1985 said: Got my ticket, easy venue to get to? I know the difference between standing and golden circle, but when I was booking the options were standing or general admission, and I'm used to general admission meaning standing. If it meant golden circle, then that explains why it was more expensive but it was unclear to me.
Insomniac90
Only had options for Golden Circle or Standing. Thought general would the normal standings way more back

Deamon
Hello all, new here! From Canada, and GD is my final band on my bucket list that I haven't yet seen. No clue how I haven't as I go to lots of shows and they're a top 10 band of all time for me. Anyways, will be at this show solo as I'm traveling around Europe at that time. Does anyone know if the Golden Circle tickets are the same as the Standing Only tickets which are the same as the General Admission tickets? It all seems pretty confusing! Looking for a single Golden Circle ticket if anyone has one they're willing to sell. Thanks!
Comedy & Tragedy
Stupid Ticketmaster meant I missed on golden circle tickets. I would love it if anyone knew someone who has a spare I could buy .

Even in the best case scenario that it doesn't rain during the show, I think it's gonna be a muddy mess.

A few questions/comments, would be very grateful if anyone could reply. 1. Am going solo and will be in the Golden Circle... anyone else going solo? 2. As for weather, the forcast looks much better for this evening. Looks like no rain during the show, but might be muddy. Maybe we'll get a Woodstock '94 remake? lol. 3. What time should I go there at? I am very confused by all the times. It says 16:00 doors, but so did Berlin yesterday and apparently (per setlistfm, I can't confirm this), they went on stage at 19:50. Would it be safe to arrive around 19.00 and still get a good spot? 4. It's my first show and I want to make it memorable, so any suggestions on how to get the best spot close to the stage, when to arrive, set times, how it will all work, etc.... would be SO HELPFUL and I'd be SO GRATEFUL. Thanks! 19 hours ago, KarateKidTanja said: I have a spare GC Ticket, just message me if you're interested 16 hours ago, Billie Hoe said: I really hope the weather will improve tomorrow 😢 i arrived in hamburg a couple of hours ago and it’s raining buckets outside… the concert is open air so i hope it will rain a little less 😬 Still raining pretty hard this morning, but should stop around 5pm

Thanks! Still raining pretty hard this morning, but should stop around 5pm It's my first concert in Germany, so I might not be super helpful at answering your questions. Based on my experience in the Lyon show, if you want a shot to a spot in first row you should be in the queue right now (but maybe due to the rain people won't queue as early today? no idea). I also have golden circle tickets, but this time I'm not aiming for front row as I am with my partner and he'd never be willing to queue for hours. You are welcome to join us though if you are okay with being a bit more towards the back! As the time printed in the ticket is 18h, I am planning to get there at around 5PM so I have time to buy some merch before the show and see the opening act as well, and not be stressed about the time. If you just want to see Green Day and don't care much about the rest, I'd say you can safely arrive at 18h and not miss anything (in the concert in Lyon for instance the opening act started at precisely the time printed in the ticket). And I think the concert will be memorable no matter what! Try not to worry so much about getting the perfect spot or getting there at the perfect time. Even if you were a kilometer away from the stage, it'll still be an amazing, so just enjoy it

I realistically know I won't get FRONT ROW, as I don't want to line up all day in the rain. But thought even maybe 20 or 30 rows back would be awesome (Maybe I'm naive to think I can show up at 630pm and still get that close). I'm assuming it won't be TOO tame in the golden circle, does it get pretty crazy in there? (I'm fine with that, just curious how set in stone it is if you're near the back that you can't move a bit up if there's room and you're polite). I don't really need to see much of the opener, but do really want to be as close as possible. Based on everything, I'm assuming it will be: Doors: 4pm Opener: 6pm Green Day: 7:50pm (like last night in Berlin which seemed to have the same doors opening time) Do you or anyone else know about how many rows/how big the Golden Circle will be? Is it actually a circle around a stage that is in the middle of the field? Once you're set up, can you leave for bathroom/beer breaks? Do they even sell beer? Sorry for all the questions, I am SO excited for this and want the best experience. Dookie shaped my childhood and my life like I'm sure it did for so many others. Even with the mud/rain, I'll be "coming clean" but leaving dirty.
Cris.
So from what I read in the Berlin thread it seems like in the end there was not really a golden circle, even though they had sold those tickets. I only read one comment about this, so not so sure how exactly things went down. But if that was an issue yesterday maybe they will try to make sure it is rectified for today (crossing fingers for that!). Normally what golden circle means is that the standing area is split in 2 sections, GC being closest to the stage. Now how big or small the GC area is, will entirely depend on the venue, so hard to say. I think getting to 20 or 30 rows back should be pretty easy if there really is a golden circle area. I think it's usually just the first 10 rows that are quite hard. It will also depend on where on the stage you want to be. It's normally a lot harder to get closer to the stage around the catwalk, but a lot easier on the sides (the area in front on Mike or Jason White). And no, I wouldn't assume it is too tame in the GC. You will probably have the people at the barricade holding on to their spot, then a few lines of people moshing, and then people chilling more towards the back, I think this is pretty standard for any standing area in any concert. I think if there really is a golden circle in today's show, you can probably still see them with your own eyes (as opposed to only through the screens) from the chill part of the section. If you are persistent, small-ish and polite, you can probably arrive late and get as close as 10 rows or so back. Again, a lot of this depends on whether or not they will respect the golden circle partition, how many people were willing to queue from early and particularities of a mostly German crowd, all of which are unknown to me. Maybe you can ask some of the people in the Berlin concert thread for their insights.
