I’m so happy he’s using a teleprompter now. He’s finally singing all the lyrics right. OTOH I wonder if it feels like he’s performing his own karaoke 😄

Maybe this will free him up to play more deep cuts. Let’s go X-kid and Rusty James!

Can I ask how you know he's using a teleprompter? (Sorry if I've missed something obvious, it just seems to be like that at the moment. No I'm not bitter I didn't even hear about the tiny London show until it was too late, I swear!)

You can literally see it in all the videos of the club shows. It looks like a monitor and sits on the stage in front of him. Some videos you can see the setlist on it, others you can see him looking down and reading off of it to sing the deep tracks

If they could come to Newcastle (or even Sunderland if it's a stadium tour) around the 19th of May that would be cool :whistle

Not getting my hopes up though since they've forgotten the north east exists for the past 2 decades

They typically just tour Manchester, Liverpool, London right?

If I was in the band I would be crazy about playing in random places. Next stop… Nunavut!

There's no way he's not using a teleprompter when they're playing so many new songs. The best call he could've made. No one cares he's using it and it allows him to play deep cuts and new songs without botching it or having to put excessive effort into the lyrics.

Literally everyone his age uses one. Hell, I can’t even remember the nursery rhymes I wrote for my baby 2 months ago.

And if thats the price we pay for hearing more deep cuts I‘m ok with using it. But idc that he forgets some lyrics

I’ve never been to a show that wasn’t just standing, is this as straightforward as it seems? As a really short person I would be inclined to go for front standing and I could stand towards the back.  Does that make sense?

As a short person (I‘m also just 1,73, short for a man) you should get front pitch. Its not a really big area and can see the whole stage wherever you are (from my experience). Everytime since the Golden Circle era is a thing I always try to get these tickets and in the GC it doesn‘t matter where you stay. For Festivals its different cause the front area is much bigger than on regular shows

Just sent the documentation to be recognized as a person with a disability to the Wembley organization. Fingers crossed.

imo "front of stage" tickets in the pit are an insult to the fans ... just to squeeze out the extra cash ... i hate every band that does it, green day are no exception

I didn't get the code yet. I didn't pre-order but did sign up to that mailing list, which according to the FAQ was enough. Am I really going to miss out on the pre-order? Fuuuuuuck...

I've never seen different prices for different parts of the stadium for a UK Green Day gig before, it's usually all the same price even for standing and seated. Front of stage thing suuuuucks not just because of the price but because less people can buy them and have a shot at being near the front by arriving early. Usually anyone with a standing ticket can get a really good spot if they choose to arrive early enough. I wonder how difficult those tickets will be to get.

I'm wondering if tomorrow will be another stressfest ending up in potential disappointment.

Look at the EU tickets page, some links lead to a "no upcoming events" page, some lead to a countdown until Nov 10, some have a countdown until Nov 8 (presale time).

My original plan was to take a long vacation and travel to at least two shows since the tour is extremely small apart from the festivals (not again please), and I don't want to then be waiting years for another Green Day show after an one-off, if I do live to see that day that is.

But if some presales are going to work and some are not, then that really isn't helping anything now, is it
