How can you 5 songs when you’ve only properly heard 3? Or have yo had a sneak peak somehow? How can anyone rate a whole album on 3 songs?

I've heard good enough quality versions to rank them.  Unless they have drastically altered One Eyed Bastard and 1981, I am pretty confident in my opinion.  There is a chance they have changed them, but I think they'll sound the same.     As far as changing negatively, that is possible as well.   I loved the leaked/live versions of Carme Diem, but on Uno....bleh!  Not sure what it is, but something in the final production just drained Carpe of all it's fire.     And don't forget my usual defense of ranking....I love them all!    Carpe Diem, Here Comes the Shock, even that ear-absusing Haushinka.

Theyre using itunes in 2023 I’m pretty sure they’re the washed up has beens!

It’s all about vinyl releases, YouTube videos and commercials between porn videos now.

Hemispheres by Rush only has 4 songs so you’d be judging 75% of the album with 3 songs!

We haven’t heard the studio album versions for OEB and 1981. Not entirely sure how 1981 starts off or if theres some type outro added to OEB etc.

I look at new releases on iTunes, but yes.  Buying music on iTunes is serial killer psycho lunatic stuff. I agree.

How many commercials have you seen between porn videos?

@jengdThat looks to me like when they were in Paris, I think? I seem to remember very brief footage from a press conference at a hotel. We haven’t really gotten much from whatever press they did there, other than the song descriptions that were given and then taken back lol.

That's not enough viewing, my dude.   You should seriously spend more time doing that, although I guess with all the new Green Day stuff I could let this pass.   I don't think I've seen ANY Green Day ads on the vids I'm watching.  Well, just make sure to remember the lesson from Longview - when it's lost it's fun...uh.....keep doing it until it's fun again.   MAKE MASTURBATION FUN AGAIN.  I think that's what Billie said.

Hmmm....Wikipedia says the sessions started in 2020, so maybe we were right about OEB being a late 2020 recording? And does this mean Pollyanna and Holy Toledo were part of the 1972/Saviors sessions?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saviors_(album)

I don't know about that, but look at the studio sessions from 2019 to 2022 here:  https://greenday.fm/music/studio-sessions/      They've been in the studio at LEAST twice in 2019, 3 times in 2020, 3 times in 2021, and then in October of 2022 they were in the studio an unknown number of times.    I think they had a creative streak while recording Father of All, because they probably helped write Money Money 2020 and I'm thinking they had One Eyed Bastard, DJD, Fever and probably 2 or 3 albums worth BEYOND all that stockpiled and ready to go and they've been trying to figure out what the heck to do with all of it.  Sure it's all firing on many cylinders, but they give The Network what they feel will work for that vibe.    They hold back songs that are perhaps ahead of their time.    They put some songs in the vault because they know a future idea will make them better.     I think there is a ton of recording time that has been done secretly, that Green Day may have as many as 3 completed albums ready for release and they are just continues juicing them up, updating lyrics. changing parts, etc.

Not a lot of profanity just yet, but we'll see what the rest of the album holds.   Right now we've got some GDs, some pooping the beds and that's about it.    Maybe Bobby Sox or something on side B will rival Kill the DJ for most F Bombs dropped.      Perhaps Fancy Sauce is actually called F!@#$ Sauce and it will have 10,000 F words.

This may have been posted already but I just noticed a new shirt at Hot Topic https://www.hottopic.com/product/green-day-saviors-t-shirt/31519064.html

$25 for a Hot Topic shirt…wow. I remember their 2 for $20 deals.

I actually love this shirt and would get it, but out of context I wonder what people familiar with the troubles will think.

Is there anything on the back ?

Well the fella himself paul seemed to be flattered by the attention he's gotten but idk if he realizes they altered his looks quite a bit i remember in the interview he said wasn't familiar with green day's music but he liked what he heard recently which was cool of him to say

I had a 30% off code so it cost me < $20 with store pickup. Rare for me to buy an album related shirt BEFORE it’s even out but I am confident Saviors will deliver (especially after going 3/3 with the singles).

Dilemma and Look Ma, No Brains have something in common.    There's a continuous rumbling/driving rhythm that I haven't heard in any other music that I can think of.   It makes the songs more danceable than anything in Green Day's catalogue that I can't explain.   What is this?   It's really enjoyable and I hope the album is full of it.

Look ma, my favourite track so far. I love it man. Best single they've released since bang bang

Yeah, there's a reason it's called Fancy Sauce and I'm pretty sure it's not because it's a standard Green Day song.  I think it'll either be extremely funny, extremely different, extremely techiniclly amazing or very like all of the above.    It's the song that kicks off the ALBUM 15 thread because it will leave us wanting more.      But we'll have to be anger keyboard warriors, complaining all the way up to September, 17th, 2028.

my theory still stands that Fancy Sauce will be a multi-part track that explores all the sounds that inspired and are distinctive of Green Day as a whole. Kinda like The Greatest Man that Ever Lived by Weezer. Green Day was the real Fancy Sauce all along.

Funny enough, one section of The Greatest Man that Ever Lived is inspired by Green Day. If my theory is correct, then it's possible there might be a Weezer inspired section in Fancy Sauce

I would love to hear a new multi-part track, but I don't think Fancy Sauce is long enough for make it, but yes, my biggest dream is to hear something like a new Jos/Homecoming or even Forever now

looks like the did the AUS tv circuit. They finally got asked when they will be touring down here and the answer was "hopefully 2025" aside from that no real new info. The interviewers are general entertainment personalities so there was never going to be anything hard hitting or in depth haha

So.....when do we think the follow up to Saviors is coming out?

If Green Day do their average wait time, August 14th, 2026.

If they do their shortest wait time, September 19th 2025.  OR the Dos-Tre shortened wait of 28 days - February 16th, 2024.

If they tie for longest wait ever -  September 15th, 2028.    Which sounds kind of like an epic date if you ask me, but dang.   But they could make us wait longer - which could be September 22nd, 2028 or something dreadful like  the year 100,000,000,002,023 when the last bits of the universe collapse and there probably will be no way to listen to Green Day music.    Or maybe before then we will develop a technology that could take us and our fandom into some other kind of existence outside this univerese.

And maybe after that, maybe Album 16 won't require such a long time to put out.  Late 100,000,000,002025 perhaps? Mid-late, not late late.  Like Fall if there is still such thing as fall.

I honestly think saviors performance will determine if there's more albums after
