 Could be this one

IMO there are 2 possibilities with this one, Goodnight Adeline or Father to a Son

Jason sang on that too? He didn't get any vocal credit on the album though

This may have already been discussed, but does the bridge remind anyone else of Mike’s part in Sex, Drugs, and Violence?

Sorry ignore, meant to post this in the single thread.

@dudley dawsonDid you see they thanked everyone by name who worked on the video?

I can't help but notice there's no props person or armourer in the credits. There were guns on set, there at least had to be a licensed props person to handle those and ensure set safety. I think they used CGI rather than blank gunfire so technically an armourer wouldn't have been needed... but yeah... with the guns and props like molotovs and other weapons, there had to have been a props person!

I think a lot of things point to this being the most "green day" green day album since like nimrod.

I believe the autograph is a indie store exclusive I got mine from a store in Texas called Waterloo Records

I ordered the red RevRad vinyl and mine came with the skips they sent me a replacement and it came warped and still skipped so I just left it alone I have 2 fucked up copies of RevRad

Were they live guns tho? They could just be fake rubber or plastic guns

Doesn't matter. Guns on set have to be handled by at least a props person.

Great song. I hear some Carpenters influences in there.

Which one did you get? I went with this one.

I got that one too - awesome colorway, and the most limited

That’s also the one I got and I feel really psyched about it. Out of all the variants that came out I’m glad I went with that one 😊

I also went for the pink clear vinyl, only 2000 copies worldwide so it wasn't even a question.

When FOAM came out I ordered the uncensored vinyl version, but someone, somewhere, either at the GD store or at Warner decided to "take it from me" or steal it, so I never recieved it. Warner then decided to pay me  back and give me digital mp3 files instead.. 🤷‍♂️ I swear if it happens again I will sue them 😂

I think this single will be very successful on rock radio and will be another number 1 from them. I feel the album will go number 1 again and…just a feeling…the song Father to Son….mentioned in the album write ups can and will be a crossover hit like 21 Guns/Blvd./Wake Me Up/When I Come Around/Good Riddance…also expect Grammy wins…we should pay attention to video view numbers of TADIKM and chart placement on rock radio as a indicator of how successful this era will be…Insomniac/21st Century Breakdown level in my opinion as far as success goes…remember before AI Insomniac was their 2nd highest selling and reviewed album…and I believe is their 3rd biggest selling album behind Dookie and AI.

What makes you think this will commercially be any more successful than RevRad? I honestly think it's a long shot they get any more success than that

If Jason was part of the studio recordings for the album, we would know about it by now. ekim is probably just referring to the live performance because we haven't heard anything that would indicate Jason's involvement in the album recording. And since it's only a 15 track album that's almost definitely under 50 minutes, I don't see a reason for his involvement in the recording sessions. Made for sense for the trilogy

I feel like FOAMF seems like an even weirder part of their discography with the context of these songs. With the exception of Graffitia, which actually does seem kind of similar to TADIKM in some ways, it doesn't feel like Saviors is going to be anything like FOAMF. So far, we've had no hand claps, lyrically it seems to be a departure from FOAMF (thankfully), Billie sounds way different and way better on this album and the only falsetto part we've heard from TADIKM sounds closer to the kind of falsetto Billie would do on 21CB. Of course it is the only album to be produced by Butch Walker so it's obviously going to have its own unique elements (for better or worse), but 21CB was the only Vig produced album and that still seems like it fits in with the rest of their discography pretty well despite its unique properties. Especially since this new album seems to have similarities to 21CB

The closer we get to this album, the more FOAMF just feels like such a huge misstep for them. Everything about it. Compare the pre-release marketing of the two albums and it's night and day.

I'm all for bands taking things in new directions, but it was a failed experiment for sure.

If Green Day ever goes for party vibes again in the future, they should embrace pizza thrash/old school thrash metal/crossover vibes. Gimme those sweet 80s party thrash anthems, baby! Kerplunk 'Em All! Bonded By Dookie! Among The Nimrods! Rust In Somniac! Reign In Shenanigans! Lights...Camera...Revolution Radio!

I came across another shot from the same scene. If a sense of youthful anarchism was what they were going for by choosing that particular photograph, I think this might've been a better fit.

The fire does add a flare to it. In the green day cover I really don’t know why they edited the boys face.

Glad there is a positive side to this with fans hoping for Belfast dates, Iwas a little concerned they would get panned for it!

Three possible reasons straight off.  To distance themselves from the original or because they couldn’t find the guy to get his permission or they didn’t want to use an actual person.

Yeah I’m glad there’s some positive stuff from it, I haven’t seen anyone too majorly upset. Apart from some people who only likes old green day and some people who hate anything that Americans  do.

the Irish issue is a controversial topic with a lot of history, so it’s risky, but at least it isn’t playing it to safe like the rev rad cover.

legally do you need permission? Isn’t it just the photographer you need to credit?  Though it’s a nice courtesy. I see the Belfast Telegraph are trying to find out who the boy is.

To all my fellow audiophiles/nerds, if you didn't catch it, Ted Jensen is doing the mastering for this one!! I cannot begin to describe how AWESOME that is.

I just ordered the 180g vinyl, which, whilst not as visually captivating, ought to be the best sounding from all the vinyl options they're selling at the moment.

Question, do you think they'll do a LP remaster like for American Idiot back in 2006? That mastering had terrific dynamic range and a lot of hidden details came out too such as the TV set playing in the background during Homecoming etc.

The alternative of course is that the very first pressing will be great and have greater dynamic range, but vinyl sales are not per se geared towards audiophiles, especially not with the current retro wave, so I personally don't think the mastering will be any different from the one on CD and digital releases.
