One of the best Green Day songs made in the 2000’s hands down. i have nothing additional to contribute that hasn’t been said already, but I really love this album LOL Glad you love it but I respectfully disagree. It's just dull, sounds like someone else and not just in style but the melodies as well. I know I know, there's been enough talk of rehashed/stolen/ripped off melodies and riffs and blah blah blah. This song just feels uninspired to me.

Popular Post DookieLukie
This is a mature album. Unlike FOAM, it feels their age. The promotion has felt mature too.

I was born in 1981 so I'm very much digging this. Easily one of the best songs on the record. I admit I wasn't impressed when they debuted it live and then forced myself not to watch more recent live performances. I was blown away when I heard it at our local listening party!

Would love to hear what Billie originally had where it was a "bossa nova"

Feels like it’s coming from a good, content, and confident place, whereas FOAM felt very uhhhh midlife crisis, not in a good place, trying to be something they’re not vibes. This whole era has felt mature and authentic.
suffoKate
Coma city is classic GD and Network! The outro alone is like Husker du and 39/smooth Kerplunk style jam! Yes!!

I don't think that is a coincidence. #taylorsversion 3 1
suffoKate
I don’t want to listen to anything else. Like for the whole year. I wanna hear this record every day of every month during every season! Just image summertime with these songs by the pool or the lake or the ocean!!! 2

Popular Post JardyOfSuburbia
Best comment I've seen about Goodnight Adeline is from US Weekly's review: “Goodnight Adeline” is arguably the best Weezer song that Rivers Cuomo never wrote." 😂 1
Popular Post Montclare
Nothing like a first (solo/headphones) listen at midnight. Additional thoughts to my listening party post- Coma City is like the Static Age mixed with the Cars. Interesting ending. A number of songs have abrupt endings. I liked the song Saviors better on second listen. Good chorus. Maybe the guy who wouldn't stop talking at the listening party was distracting me from that. Fancy Sauce reminds me of All the Young Dudes mixed with something you'd find on a grandiose 80s movie soundtrack. I really hope they play it live. You know that song that makes you tear up but you don't know why? That's this song.

DookieLukie
Bobby Sox sounds strikingly like Centipede by Fidlar. Anyone else hearing this? Actually pretty identical.

So true! This one time i think it is pretty much coincidental as the song was released last year.
Popular Post JardyOfSuburbia
Random thought, but they really did a good job promoting singles around holidays. TAKIDM was great with the zombies/Halloween...Dilemma had all of the partying/drinking holiday stuff and now Bobby Sox works so well for Valentine's Day. 9

That Dude
There's so much Rock history in this album. Nirvana, Beatles, Suicidal Tendancies, heck I even heard some parts that sounded like Everclear. I want to know more about Billies listening....I did start diving into Bowie because of Billie.
