This album has so many great, clever lines.

Really mature album after my first listen, but not as fast and catchy as I was expecting. Dense though, which recent GD albums have lacked. I think the songs and lyrics need to marinate. Some immediate standouts but a lot more slower tempo songs than I was expecting. Time for another listen through!

Seems like maybe they were forced to rush FOAM to get it out in time for the tour, even though we all know how that turned out with the pandemic

Just now, stories and songs said:

If anyone even thinks about making a speculation thread for the next one this early, they get an automatic perma-ban. :P

It's been 16 minutes since you posted this so I'm assuming the perma-ban has been lifted and will commence the speculation....kidding, kidding!   😄  I'm going to blast Saviors songs legitimately a little bit long tonight and then go to bed.

Oh crap, with all the Saviors craziness there are some other artists with some new bangers tonight.   Uh oh.   No sleep tonight, I guess.

That little guitar line in the outro of Coma City sounds SOOO familiar...

Edit: OH it's a Who outro riff

The first five songs are singles, that's wild.   1981 and Goodnight Adeline next?  Heck, 1981 can do an animated video before getting back to the black and white. 😉

Ok, second listen is marinating really nicely. Have to work off the expectations and rust on the first listen and now this one is sinking in. Such a dense record. Gonna finish this listen then @That Dude YouTube review next before listen #3.

None of these songs are below like a 7.5 for me (and there might just be one of those…most of these are 9s or 10s honestly). Outstanding album. It flows beautifully and covers such a diverse range of what Green Day is all about, both in sound and topic. It really captures them as a band. I love it. They freaking nailed it.

I just wanna drive around and blare this album in my car, but we're supposed to get, like, seven inches of snow tomorrow, LOL.

Thanks, Ohio!

Vocals are great on this record.

Wow "Corvette Summer" is just one of those instantly infectious songs.

Hmmm...Suzie Chapstick is nice but kind of boring comparatively so far.

I've never agreed with you more. LOL

Immediate standouts for me (other than the ones we heard before now) are Bobby Sox, Goodnight Adeline (this one is my favorite I think), LIT20s, and Fancy Sauce. I know people are torn about Suzie Chapstick but I love that one too. Coma City is also really cool, reminds me a little of Static Age. And I already loved the singles — Dilemma is one of my favorites they’ve ever done. AHH!

They’re all great ok. 🥲

Facts aren't fun, let's speculate widely about Album 15, 16 and 17....what will surely be a Trilogy!!!   Actually, I'll stay on topic...can we figure out exactly who was right first about Saviors?  Who is the best, most reliable insider?

I guessed 13 songs and a blue album cover.   And if they kept 1972, I think I was 102% correct.   This Pink Savior business was a curveball, darnit.  And good thing too, 1972 was going to be like Cig and Valentines -  not their best work.

Even though I became a fan right before the album rollout- I guessed a blue cover
