Platypus2000
Love Billie’s voice on 1981, especially the 2nd verse, so good. Don’t know why it sounds so bad live, the studio version is 100x better.
Christian's Inferno!
I don't hear FOAM in Corvette Summer at all. For one thing, Corvette Summer is a good song.... Really, none of the songs sound like FOAM to me. Sure, some elements may have carried over from FOAM. I mean it was the previous album and Butch Walker is apparently still involved with the album even if he did have a lesser role. OEB is probably the song that most reminds me of FOAM (not just because it's the worst song on the album... but isn't that ironic) but even that song doesn't actually really sound like FOAM, especially since the hand claps that were on the leak seemed to have been removed (or at least put more in the background so they're barely audible) I just listened to FOAMF and RevRad so I could compare Saviors to the band's 2 most recent attempts. While I don't like FOAM, there are parts that I can enjoy. But Saviors absolutely blows FOAM out of the water. And I still get quite a lot of enjoyment out of RevRad over 7 years after its release. But I think Saviors is better than RevRad too. Album's official out for me now so I'm gonna stop using the leak

I love FOAM and not a single one of these sounded like it. 15 minutes ago, DanPak said: I think it was Corvette Summer? I can kind of hear it in the vocal production, there's some layering in the choruses where Billie sings be king vocals an octave lower which made me think of FOAM. Aside from that and the overall feel of the song though it's definitely 90% Saviors production style. Yeah, I pointed out that I remember an Instagram video that Billie posted around the time of the FOAM single or the album, I forget exactly, but it was a video where he was recording overdubs and it's the song I heard in his headphones. He was working on the "Don't want your money" part and screwed up. "Don't want....ah shit!!!"

I find the trilogy hard to compare since it's a full 2 hours of content and I enjoy it way more than most people. I also probably need to wait for Saviors to sit with me for a while before I can say for certain how it compares. Take the best hour out of the trilogy and even though the production/lyrics still isn't gonna be the best, the songs are truly pretty great. Saviors is a really consistent 45 minute album. If I'm to compare Saviors to each trilogy album individually, Saviors is easily the best GD album since 21CB imo. But comparing it to the best 45 minutes of the trilogy, and the additional good songs that the trilogy outside of that 45 minutes is a very different story.

American Dream: 4/5 LMNB: 3/5 Bobby Sox: 4/5 OEB: 3.5/5 Dilemma: 5/5 1981: 4/5 Goodnight Adeline: 2/5 Coma City: 3/5 Corvette Summer: 4/5 Suzie Chapstick: 0.5/5 Strange Days: 4.5/5 Living in the 20s: 4/5 Father to a son: 5/5 Saviors: 2.5/5 Fancy Sauce: 3.5/5 Overall 4/5 rating. Doesn't beat Dos! but holy fuck isn't this album just great. Welcome back Green Day, although you never left in my eyes. Nice to see another DOS! fan! Best album of the trilogy for me. Stop when the red lights flash, lazy bones, wild one, makeout party, and stray heart make up one of the best sections of a Green Day album ever.

Yes, even Nightlife that is probably dirtiest fucking thing in the record that has a song literally called Fuck Time. How genius it is to start the album with sweet ''See You Tonight'' that directly goes to Fuck Time and then end the party album with extremely loud noise that is Wow! That's Loud and have this moment of reflection with Amy? Wild guitar solos everywhere, Makeout Party containing Billie's best scream ever, lyrics that make absolutely zero sense but are ridiculously fun.. what's not to love?? I absolutely adore it. My favorite Green Day album of all time. Which brings me to Saviors. I'd probably rate this top 5 for now. 1. Dos! 2. American Idiot 3. Dookie 4. Saviors 5. FOAM/Uno!/21st Century Breakdown (haven't decided which one deserves it the most) It's a good album and Corvette Summer is ridiculously fun and good time. I've already seen people criticizing the song saying it's a ''dadrock anthem'' and speaking of the term dadrock, fuck that shit and bury that shit to the ground because jesus christ. Anyways, I love it and Suzie Chopstick is truly the only weak track in the album. So consistent and so much fun.
